We have grabbed 5 starters from the portal so far.

OL-Lee
OL-Cohen
DL-Deen
LB-Mauigoa
CB-Brown

Lee replace Clark
Cohen replaces Justice/Cooper
Deen replaces Jackson
Mauigoa replaces Flagg
Brown replaces Ivey

I would say we upgraded at every position minus Jackson run defense.

Gore as a rotational DL was PFF highest ranked DT in portal even though many here didn't like the take.

Still have some work to do.

I would not be opposed to taking a RB and a beat player available type regardless of position if he can help overall talent

I think he may just be satisfied with the free UM degree. Although I would completely understand him wanting one last chance at starting somewhere. Although he could end up as one of those guys who enter the portal and never get out. Not sure he has the game tape or hype to get a legit starting spot at an FBS school. Maybe a lower level FCS school.

Is his dad the coach? I could have sworn I saw a n FCS or D2 game the other day and the quarterback‘s name was Matocha. I figured that was his brother
