Coming back for his 9th season.
2016 - Redshirt - Freshman
2017 - Played and contributed - RS Freshman - used eligibility 1/4
2018 - Season ending injury week 1 - Medical RS - RS Soph - Still 1/4
2019 - Missed entire season due to injury - Medical RS - Granted another year of eligibility. Still 1/4
2020 - Missed entire season due to injury - didn't count due to covid anyway - Still 1/4
2021 - Played in 2 games and sustained a season ending injury - didn't immediately petition for waiver but qualifies (petitioned ACC for it this year I think) - still 1/4
2022 - Played in 13 games - started 6 - used eligibility year 2/4
2023 - Played in every game - used eligibility year 3/4
2024 - Assuming the waiver for 2021 is granted - will be 4th year of eligibility

Yeah that one I said 50% jokingly, but in all seriousness there’s a handful of guys I’ve thought this year could go replenish Rhett’s roster again.
Or a guy like TVD who may not beat out Stone, could link up if Likens were to find himself another gig this year. Or Enos somehow swindles another dip**** AD/HC to hire him.

I wish there was a portal for fans. I’ve been a pretty faithful fan. Put my heart into this. Haven’t had a bit of joy out of this team in years. Not one iota. I’d like to portal out to a team that actually wants to win.

I thought you meant SENDING some fans into the portal.
As in, “Look, you just don’t fit into our plans here anymore. It would probably be best if you explore your options.”

I won’t say this is on the money because there might be a few reaches, but I think a lot of our brainwashed fans will be in for a rude surprise at a few of them that enter.
And then, they’ll spin how they were going to get beat out next year or that they weren’t a fit.
