I think we definitely need a Tight End and we might need 1 more center depending on what happens with Lee.

Guessing Rodriguez is next man up but need someone to challenge him for the spot and for depth.

Agree with everything else you noted.

Meant to say a guard or center depending on Lee/Rivers.

Don’t see a TE. Arroyo back, McCormick didn’t walk at senior day so he’s back, Williams, Carver, and Lofton. Maybe another HS kid.

I expect 6-8 people will portal out and the we have a lottt of seniors leaving the program as well and we will drop kids in our current class so it will all work out.

Why do you think Arroyo comes back? He’s hardly played because of injuries, and may just try a fresh start elsewhere. Maybe a school in the state of Texas, where he’s from. Where tight ends are used in the passing game instead of only as an additional offense lineman.

Who in Texas is going to take him and upgrade his situation? A&M and Texas aren’t going to want him. He’s barely played in 2 years and coming off a terrible MCL issue and lingering hamstring and meniscus problems.

If I remember correctly he has family in south Florida anyway.

Fair enough. I didn’t recall his family in South Florida.

Still, he wouldn’t have to transfer to A&M or Texas. He could transfer to Houston, Baylor, TCU, or Texas Tech if he’s healthy enough.

If I were him I would need to be confident next year’s offense changes to fully utilize the tight end. Could be this year’s issues at the position are Arroyo’s health, McCormick‘s limitations as a receiver, Williams’ overall inexperience, and Skinner’s limitations as a blocker. I don’t think Carver factors into the equation, too raw at the moment.

We’ll see. Would not surprise me if Arroyo and Skinner both transfer out at the end of the season.

Would any of those schools improve his situation? Don’t think any really utilize a TE and NIL is minimal. If that wasn’t the case I’d probably agree. I wouldn’t return if I were him but he’s one of the guys bought into whatever mario is selling them

You’re probably right. Texas Tech and Houston don’t seem to use their tight ends as receivers. Baylor and TCU do. Also, Baylor and Houston may have turnovers at head coach since both are on the hot seat. I don’t know what Arroyo’s NIL situation is now, but I’d wager opportunities in Dallas-Fort Worth (TCU) and Houston are pretty good for the right players.

I do hope he comes back. I believe we’ll see more use of the tight end as a receiver if he can get 100% healthy.

Agree with that besides safety think we see that room flipped saying bye to Williams and balom along with Kam and James three at safety very possible

He wouldn’t go to teams like that. Think more Houston than anything else.
