Poor Chip

Whoever wouldn't want Chip near Miami in mentally handicapped.

Yeah..especially when high school kids will know him as the guy that took a giant dump all over the Eagles and couldn't hack it in the League....that should really help him with recruiting. Miami should be all over this guy like a cheap suit.

watch the Chip Groupies come crawling out like roaches...LOL ...too easy.

Yeah totally, Amari Cooper told Saban to ***** off since he failed in the NFL.

You're not too bright are you?

Hum, Saban wins HC, goes to NFL fails, goes back to college and wins NC, driving Urban out of town. Yeap that's Chip. Wait, Chip was DRIVEN out of college football by ncaa WITHOUT winning an NC, hides in NFL, gets driven out of town by fans this time, even though he wins division title -- yeah that sounds like Saban.

Look another dumb dumb. Has Chip gone back to college yet? I'm laughing my *** off at these silly assertions and lack of reading comprehension. You guys have hard time understanding a point. Critical thinking is not your strong suite.

Chip went 10-3, 12-2, 12-1, and 12-1. Went to a BCS championship game his 2nd year and lost by 3 points. Has been more successful than Saban in the NFL. Let's not forget the talent Saban had LSU was far superior than Oregon, LSU had top classes under Saban.

You guys are funny as well.

Smh.

Saban didn't do well in the NFL either. How's it working out for him in Tuscaloosa? You're signature is also about Butch who didn't do well in Cleveland.

By the same logic, Butch didn't win a championship either. These guys don't think too much.

What a shock, another Chip supporter who has to rely on insults to defend their boyfriend. You must be a liberal. Let's try to simplify the format for you:

* Nick wins NC at LSU and rides that glory to a gig in NFL.

* Chip loses NC at Oregon and runs out of town to NFL inches in front of ncaa hangman.

Advantage Nick.

* Nick falls on his face in NFL; recognizes his crap does not work there and retreats back to college.

* Chip has initial success in NFL far beyond Nick. Then Chip destroys his team in effort to infuse it with "his type" of players. As usual, fall follows pride.

I will still give advantage Chip at this point because there is more chapters to be written. But if we assume Chip returns to college because the warrant for his arrest has expired, then Chip returns to college because he realizes his crap does not play in NFL -- just like Nick. Then this is a tie.

* After returning to college, Nick takes over and wins 3 more NCs.

* Chip, well what he does is speculation at this point. But until further notice, advantage Nick.

Now you initially implied that great recruits will flock to Chip like they did to Nick. However, NOTHING in the comparable facts support your position. The shorthand of the two is:

Nick : Glory - Shame - Glory

Chip: Failure followed by shame - More shame - to be determined

I will not call you any names because I have no idea what you level of education might be and I reserve my insults for equals. If you did earn a Doctorate on or before your 24th birthday, let me know and I will more than happy sling a few at you.

I am guessing based on your comment that you have earned your doctorate...likely before your 24th birthday. Congrats on that accomplishment, it is extremely impressive. How exactly though does it pertain at all to this conversation or really any conversation that takes place on college football message boards? I'll answer for you...it doesn't.

I could come on this board and claim to be an astronaut and really there would be now way for anybody to prove me wrong. I am sure you probably did do well in school but throwing it everybody's face to try to discredit somebody else's opinion on a coaching is not only lame but stinks of desperation. That is unless your doctorate is in college football coaching searches.

Don't waste your time on GatorHater.

He tabbed Butch as the second best head coach we've ever had behind Howard. He attempted to justify his stupidity by saying he recruited the talent for 4 of our 5 NC's. By that reasoning, we should hire Kehoe since he was here for all 5.

I love how the BBB boys try and point to NFL failure or disappointment as some kind of measuring stick. The irony of that is astounding on multiple levels. Please tell us how da gawd did.

In my opinion, it's great if a college guy does well in the NFL. Most don't as history has shown. To me, it's akin to saying player x was a failure at the next level in an argument about whether they were good in college or not. The two have nothing to do with one another.

I don't have any issues with his opinions, or anybody else's for that matter. People can have whatever opinion they like. I don't necessarily hate the idea of Butch coming back but he is not my first option. Both Butch and Chip would be in my top 5 of what I would consider to be realistic candidates. By realistic I mean I don't think that there is a chance in **** that Urban or Saban would come here.

My top five would be in this order:
Gary Patterson
Tom Herman
Butch Davis
Chip Kelly
Dan Mullen

Okay but we're not choosing between Chip and Saban. We're choosing (Lord willing) between Chip and a rogues' gallery of Miami retreads.

BTW going 46-7 and playing in 4 consecutive BCS bowl games (including the title game) is not failure.

I understand. I was responding to Solid's post and name calling. There is not choice between Saban and Chip. Chip's failure was not winning that NC and more importantly then being prohibited from coaching in the ncaa -- that is failure by any definition.

Congrats on your doctorate.

It is almost as old as me. Peace offering accepted. I am happy we might be perusing Chip. It shows a change in attitude. I think Frenk might have something to do with it -- I hope anyway. Chip will be exciting and certainly kick a lot of rear in ACC but I am convince it will not bring home what we want. I prefer to play our potential for greatest defense in football advantage. As we see, anyone can have a lot of offense; only a select few can have great defense. We can have the best, but that will not happen with Chip. If we could have Cane defense with Chip, I am all in.

He got an NFL gig before the show-cause came down. That is not failure. By your narrow definition, every current head coach is a failure save for Saban, Meyer, Jimbo, Miles (who's on the heat seat), Coker, and Stoops.

Fair enough. I agree, Chip, Butch..whoever. We need a Miami style DC. I think if the head coach is defense orientated, then Miami should bring in a very good or elite offensive coordinator, and visa versa.

Well news flash...by your definition Butch Davis shouldn't even be a candidate either.

Chip will survive and still be coach in philly at end of year unless he wants out. Injuries, Bradford and a bad DC has hurt the Eagles this year. Will get Colin from San Fran in offseason and turn the Eagles back to being good

If you're going to attack someone's intelligence make sure no one can question yours. Sounds like that doctorate program you were in didn't care very much about grammar.
