I imagine the networks want two ranked in-state teams playing.

This was my guess. ESPN would be all over this for two reasons.
1. Matchup of two ranked teams on their network.
2. If Florida wins, ESPN can add that to their list of wins over top 25 teams. If UF loses to us, then they lost to a ranked team, so its a good loss.

I believe tcu got credit because their loss came to lsu and they played them pretty well through 3 quarters
