Poll: The OC/QB Coach Hire

What is your initial reaction to the OC/QB coach hire?

I think its fine....but not super excited...people overlook he was the OC at Southern Miss for like 4 years where they averaged over 30. Then Dana pretty much begged him to come back with him after.
So a lot of Dana offense will be on display as well as some other things.

i'm not impress at all myself.. nothing solid about this hire along with the DC hire I personally would have promoted CS as the DC job he's a good recruiter with head coaching experience. you guys talked about Manny was a snake oil salesman and i wasn't a big Manny fan. At least he got them guys to play . These mofos laid on Mario just stop playing. There was talent on that team to win the coaster. sorry peoples I'm not giving Mario a pass. In certain situations' he looked lost last yr. so you guys can kiss his @ss all you want to. Going 5 and 7 was all on him. I'm not impressed at all so far' matter of fact ****ed. I see a 7 and 5 team next yr if not 6 and 6. These are not the best hires peoples' they are more of his my @ss hires.
 
solid hire. not a home run sure thing, but he runs the type of system we want to see and has been involved in developing some very good college QBs. it's very difficult to imagine he won't be an upgrade. i'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Mario hires an OC who runs an offense people have been demanding to see here and still people mope. Never change CIS.

It's bizarre after "Broyles Award winner Gattis" you still have posters who care about hiring a big "name". Mario made a Lashlee type hire, I'm surprised that doesn't excite people
 
I like the course correction. Don’t keep trying high profile pro style hires. Go young and innovative this time. See if it works. We saw it improve things after Enos. Proof is on the field, but I sure would love to see 2021 TVD back under center.
 
Really a wait and see type vote, seems like he was good at a few places and terrible at others. I have heard some podcasters say they dont like it because he style and coaching is too predictable. Just hope Mario did not pick another loser OC like the last one.

It sure the **** is but for them they need a glamor name that they know otherwise it's a bad hire. In coaching circles buddy is viewed as a stud. But no one here wants to hear that even though they been begging and talking **** bout Mario ain't gonna do anything but run the ball. Now it's a predominantly air rid guy and those same people crying... Thank God for psychologists.

Wasn’t my first choice but considering the other names that had been floating around for the job, it’s a solid move. I’m surprised Mario went this way but I think it’s a good sign. Last year he hired a staff full of big names and they failed tremendously. If your system requires All Americans at every position to work, your system is trash. Give me a guy who has done more with less.
 
I’m excited like I was with Lashlee when he was hired.

the only difference about this hire and last is that I don’t think the running plays up the middle will cripple us like it did with lashlee.


Mostly because our Oline is much improved( on paper at least).
