Konnan... yes.
Quad tearing, talent squashing ****head Nash NO.

Sorry, big wrestling fan and actually loved WCW. He's one of the reasons why WCW died. Him, David Arquette and Tony Shiavnoe.
Hogan, Russo & Bischoff are the reason why WCW died. Everybody likes to put the blame on Nash because it's popular on the Internet to hate him, but he didn't get the book until February of 99, before that, Hogan, Flair & Bischoff called the shots. And who did he actually squash besides Wrath? He put Rey Mysterio, Konnan & DDP over he just didn't get along with everybody because he could be an ******* a lot.

Honestly it was the money first. WCW business was always a wreck but the NWO run from 96-99 carried them barely through it all but the fact that they lasted as long as they did was a minor miracle. The last 2 years were trash because of what was building feom before Bischoff even started running things

Too much exposure for the NWO, Bad booking, the Time Warner merger, and the WWF resurgence with Stone Cold/Rock/Mankind/Undertaker/etc. killed WCW.

They took their best draw in Goldberg, and ruined that.

A lot of bad business decisions...

WCW was the last bastion of 'Southern Style Wrasslin' ' and they ruined it.

In the next 20 years, I really don't think pro wrestling will be around. They way it is today, its already dead.

For sure. I'd sooner listen to hours of podcasts about when it was great than watch a minute of it today. I went to Wrestlemania when it was here and I think that was legitimately the last time I watched it in any significant manner.

Vince made his money and the WWE Network was his last innovative thing (even though it too relies heavily on the nostalgia element) but I think he (and the lack of any real competitor for years) will end up killing the "sport" forever.

Mid to late 90s WCW was outstanding until it ran off the rails. I think Raven's Flock should've gotten a bigger push. Lodi's star quality was criminally ignored and wasted by Bischoff.

The booking later hurt but WCW by that time was already on life support and the Time Warner merger basically was WCW suicide because the bosses didn't even like wrestling. Wrestling today though is in many ways probably the best position its been in since the mid to late 90s indie wise, more wrestlers have control and make more money and business wise for rhe most part everybody is doing well just when WWE isn't killing it it makes everybody look worse

Raven himself used to talk about how angry he was because he didnt have creztivew control over the flock

Bischoff took something that could've been great and turned it into a punchline. He never let them be more than a clique of jobbers. No vision.

He really only cared about the highly paid top guys which is a whoooooole other conversation
He always struck me as a guy who got a little bit of power and money, started doing rails like there was no tomorrow and then ran his operation into the ground.

He was actually really smart and built WCW up from I think 91 when they should've been bankrupt to a dominant power jn 5 years but then it became a problem. The money they gave those wredtlersw and the amount of power they had is mindboggling if you really look up how it was
