As most of you are aware, there is a very real possibility that we lose to Duke again and fall to 2-3 (0-2 in the ACC). This would all but end our season (if you don't already consider it essentially over).

As fans, we know this is unacceptable and would happily cut this team's head off, but what do we think the AD/BOT would do if this happens?

I ask you this: If we lose to Duke for the second year in a row, who, if anyone, will get fired?

I'm voting D'Onofrio gets fired because the AD/BOT need to show movement and they can't fire Golden mid-season without a solid replacement, but I don't think that will do anything because it's Golden's D. It'd be more of a political move than a football move, but it'd get the ball rolling.

If we lose saturday to Duke i dont think no one be fired but i do think you will have people inside the BOT meeting with Shalaa telling her at the end of the season we need to clean house because we are not moving forward we are seriously going the oppsite way she may not want to pull the trigger to fire Golden because of the buyout but they will seriously force her hand...

Nobody loses their job. Blake James is to much of a ***** to do anything, or it would already have been done.

I will go one more step i believe some members of the board trustee's are already in her ear putting the fire on her some of these BOT members are huge miami fans also they see how are not nationally talked about anymore and at the end of the day yea its nice to be a academic school and everything but football is King it brings the school monies, sponsorships and revenue college now of days is all business and thats the case 10 fold at a private school like the U so Donna has to do something and she know it too...

Nobody will be fired during the season unless there were some sort of scandal or player revolt. Or brawl.

Losing to Duke makes it more uncomfortable for the staff but nobody gets fired.

Re-word the question.

If we lose to Duke, who should be fired?

And remember, if Golden is fired, they're all pretty much fired.

I'm thinking they clean house at The Training Table if we lose. Accountability is one of the pilars. Maritza over at the stir fry station has gots to go.

I'm not one to root against my team for the sake of the coach getting canned. With that said, I think we win this week.

As I have been saying since last year, no one is going to get fired until the end of this season AT THE EARLIEST. All this talk about firing Golden last year was idiotic. How were they going to realistically fire the dude after his 3rd season, when he had improved his record every year, and with the NCAA sh*t we had to go through. Despite the issues, he was going to get AT LEAST this year to do it his way and show if he could get it together.

If he fails, there is going to be some serious pressure for changes. But it depends on how BAD he fails. If its 7 wins or so, it may just be someone like NoD who "moves on to other opportunities" along with someone like Kehoe. 5 wins or less, and I do think that AG himself could be gone. Though I would only put that probability at around 35%. I think the buyout is still going to be too much for UM to want to swallow. I think they likeliest scenario involves Donofrio leaving, and a few other changes after this season unless we totally crash and burn.

He isn't even getting fired after this year. He has one more season after this know matter what in my opinion barring a 4 or 5 win season.
