Last year they would have been ranked Doo Doo all year long. You can already see an improvement but it’s going to take time. They need to continue to gel and communicate better. You can already see Berry is leaps and bounds better than the last OL coach.

Looking at the season as a whole obviously it hasn’t been good.

But looking from week to week they went from doo doo wet diaper face splash to concerning from UF to UNC. They played well enough for us to be 2-1 this year though.

Bethune and CMU should be beneficial and I expect them to be serviceable the rest of the year and a strength going into 2020z

After a line-up change from the Fla game the pass protection is getting better. Run blocking still concerns me ,yes we have had some nice long runs but they have all come from poor tackling and have been to the boundaries. We still can not get 1 yard up the middle on third and 1 even against BC. I just hope this young o-line takes big steps with strength and getting low to get some push in the future.

1. Overall coaching decisions made the oline worse against Florida but even with Campbell they were good enough for the offense to put up more points than it did.

2. Oline was dominant run blocking and above average pass blocking against UNC definitely good enough for the offense to put up more points.

3. dominant against Bethune... shocking.

Overall: The oline was good enough for us to be undefeated right now (3-0). The Head coRch being out coached, The Offensive coordinator being out coached, and the QB not getting it done are the main reasons we are1-2.

You can't be serious.
In the UNC game alone, the OLine gave up 4 sacks. There are 58 teams in all of FBS that gave up 4 or less sacks throughout 3 games

Clark seems to have solidified the line. I don't think we had the right lineup for the UF game but we still rushed for more than 6 yards a carry. I would criticize the LB play (3 seniors not doing much) more than the young OL play as being a bigger problem.
While I agree the LBs & the guys in charge of their development deserve criticism, I cant help but think that we are so, so far from dominating the trenches like we should. Thats when the Coastal will be a cake walk, when our OL is the best in the division. I think this defense can withstand so-so LB play, especially if the S play is legit, also, in my mind ST is a LB, and Finley has been pretty decent. OL play is the key to what we want to do, throw bombs and get skilled RBs room to wiggle & burst.

Terrible against UF
Better against UNC

Hopefully they stabilize & continue to get better for ACC play.

From my recollection of the games we gave up 10 sacks to UF, 4 to UNC, and 0 to BCC but i don't recall the individual OLinemen who gave up sacks, pressures, & penalties.

Does anyone know a website or company that tracks individual OL stats such as % grades, sacks & pressures allowed, FS & holding penalties, etc?

I voted the doo doo garbage toilet trash splash thing. But only because my hand slipped trying to tap the next lower option. Seriously, you can't judge this line yet. 14 Damm sacks so far and only 1 true test that was total failure. Ask this poll in another 3 games and you should have a far more accurate picture. Yes some improvements have occurred, but in no way am I confident that this oline can even TAKE us to the coastal title. We shall see

Getting a lot of mixed messages around here

Going with what I've seen vs. Power 5 opponents and I have to be honest, it's concerning.
I know our Offensive line has improved but if we go back to False starts, Chop Blocks, Delay of Games, and allowing blocked kicks Vs. VA TECH and the rest of our ACC games we are in serious trouble. On the other hand, if we turn it around and improve every week this opinion of mine will change.
