Clemson. Brother Dabo deserves this. All of us should be Tigers Monday.

This.

Plus, I don't want to see the Dark Knight and Satan win anything. That said, Bama is fast and strong. A machine. And every time i think Coker will fold, dude steps up and gives me the hush-mouth. But, here's to the Dabo's D. Hope Lawson is ready to rock.

**** Bama & the $EC!!!

Are those that are voting Clemson on crack? I will spot you 6 points and take bets. Ethnicsands, I am talking to you.

I pick Alabama primarily because I've never seen Nick Saban fail to win the title when he has a defense of this caliber. It fell way off in 2013 and 2014. The last time they won the national title the Tide allowed 2.43 yards per rush, best in the country. This season is even better at 2.30.

I think Alabama will establish Derrick Henry and methodically control the line of scrimmage.

However, I'm not betting this game. The surreal bargain was last week, with Alabama facing a joke Michigan State pass defense and a team that had no business being in the final four. Clemson is much more legitimate. In fact, the YPPA Differential actual favors Clemson at +2.3 compared to a very pedestrian +1.5 for Alabama. Last season I pointed out on this forum that Ohio State and Oregon were tied for best in the nation in that stat. They were each something like +3.4, if I remember correctly. So while Alabama may have looked overwhelming last week it was largely due to the inept opponent. Alabama can look quite beatable at times, notably against Arkansas, Tennessee and most of the Auburn game, not to mention the game they actually lost against Mississippi.

I'm rooting for Clemson even though I expect they'll fall short. The key for Clemson is to bust the big plays into the end zone and not allow Alabama to line up again. Also, Clemson needs to prevent the Alabama quarterback from slivering away and connecting on deep balls after the play has seemingly broken down. He doesn't look like an athlete but is surprisingly nifty and dangerous on those plays. Those plays altered the game against Auburn. Overall Alabama only averages 7.3 YPA, which is low for a national title team and the reason I don't consider them a shoo in.

I liked dabo until he pulled that bs last year in Miami. Keeping his team on the field at halftime and his idiotic rant about the stadium. Of course, it was all for recruiting purposes but it was cheap as ****.
He didn't do or say anything wrong. He said the players have to enter and exit thru the same entrance....both teams. And I think that's something that happened after the renovation

Another Bama NC wouldn't bother me in the least bit. I lived in Birmingham (the heart of SEC country) for 2 years and their fans aren't as bad as they seem. Clemson on the other hand is an entirely different story. Yes they were instrumental in getting golden fired (for which I'm thankful) but their fans have become insufferable and suddenly they act as if they are a blue blood cfb program.

Bama relies on a ton of defensive substitutions. I think that will get majorly exposed by a more than competent QB in Watson and Clemson accentuating the already up-tempo nature of their offense. Saban melting down on the Georgia head coach on the sideline would be almost as sweet as him screaming at Monte Kiffin's son.

Alabama is better defensively as a whole. Clemson has some nice pieces on D. But as a unit, I'm not sure they're a better team.

On offense, I think Clemson is better. But two of the best three players on offense in this game (2. Henry, 3. Ridley) are suiting up for Bama (1. Watson).

I hope for a Clemson win and I think they can get it if they: 1. Stop Bama from getting the big play. Bama may like to grind it out, but I don't think that'll be enough against a Clemson team that I think will score 30... and 2. They have to get something going in the passing game early, even if it's the screen game to the receivers. They have to find a way to keep Bama with 6 or fewer in the box. If they can do that, they'll be able to run the ball and force Bama to press. That can lead to good things for Clemson.

Really tough to bet against Bama, but I truly think Clemson's defense will be the difference in this game.

This is a quality post and hits on a ton of great points.

That makes me like Dabo even more.. an act of savagery like that would be applauded and called "swag" by our fans... the guy was beating us so bad they stayed on the field during halftime.. love that..

Clemson 34 Bama 31 Saban's going to have a fit with that offense ala Ohio State.

I'm hoping for Clemson to steam-roll Alabama. SEC fanboys wont be able to justify it in their pea-sized brains.

Giving your halftime speech on the field is not swag, it was a recruiting ploy by him and yes, it was cheap.

I live in Tiger country and I can tell you I hate Clemson and Dabo Weenie as much as Bama and Saban.

But to live here with Weenie fans is sickening. I admit, its to see the faces of the Tiger faithful that I pull for Bama. This is one game where Nick Saban is the coach and I'm actually pulling for him. Normally I never pull for Nick Saban and frankly do not like him.
This game has no bearing on the Canes.
