Its a bit unfair to expect Nesta to be Ed Oliver off rip. He's got that potential, sure, but I hate to force iDL into a spot where they are forced or asked to play a ton during their freshman seasons. Its going to be a GRIND for Nesta, as it is for any big boy on the interior. IMO, the best use of him is going to be in a reserve role, playing under 200 snaps. Most big boys, early in their first year playing significant time wear down by the end of the season.

If we are forced to play Jordan Miller, however...things probably aren't going to well for us. All of this hype for him, this late, seems like a bit of overcompensation...but we'll see. The key to bringing in late risers is to give them time to develop.

I don’t get why a late riser can’t be expected to contribute possibly the same way a known quantity would be expected to contribute. That makes zero sense. Some kids peak later. Miller may just be peaking and may take the off season training serious and come in shape and ready to contribute. Not playing b/c you’re a late riser is idiotic.

No one knew about miller because he missed the spring with a injury and transferred right before the season to sandalwood from a small school. He got offered by 3 of the best defensive minds in college football and bama was inquiring about him late too.

Silvera is a beast and he showed he was the best dt in the country at the opening and at the army all American game. He’s coming from one of the best high school programs in the country and has that attitude you need on the dline

He’s taller than that, 6’1.5-6’2 308 pounds. That’s what he measured and weighed in at the army game.

Nesta is at least 6’2. Looks taller than Chatfield right here who is a legit 6’2 or so

just listened. if I hear this duasso cat say you can't blame these kids for going to Alabama again. you're not a miami fan talking like that. also said I'll never push a kid to miami. why not? you're a sucker, bro.

Wow, so glad I didn't listened to that nonsense.
What the he!! has happened to my hometown and (soFla) region?

Bring in Nesta like Michigan used Gary.....in and out to relieve both DTs...he should easily be a frosh AA...IMO

Two things I strongly disagree with.....Bethel being one of the fastest in the nation...Nesta undersized....

Nesta is a dog, but you can’t expect him to come in and have an immediate impact. If he does, great. But that’s hard task for a freshman defensive tackle.

It’s already been said but depth and experience are flaky; luckily, the talent is there to, at the very least, have another 10 win season.

We need Willis to have a monster year.

Nesta will get 10-15 snaps a game. Will be perfect for his freshman year and he will be ready for the starter’s role in 2019 opening against UF.

I think Bethel is going to surprise a lot of people this year as well as Jon Ford. Ford is going to make us forget all about Norton.
