I feel good about our chances like everyone, but there is way too much bravado right now. They are going to jinx us. I prefer @DMoney approach of caution.

People forget we stalled offensively vs ND. It came down to a fg.

We had blown coverages and interceptions against USF.

****, I saw some corners get smoked a couple times against Bethune, but their qb couldn’t hit the side of a barn.

UF played like **** against lsu and threw a pick 6 plus 4 other INT, and yet only lost by 10. Their D is not bad.

This game is not a given, people need to pump the brakes.

Nobody at CIS needs to pump the brakes. None of you guys are suiting up so it really doesn’t matter if you’re overconfident or not.

Now the players? That’s another matter.

It all comes down to coaching, and hopefully the coaches have them NOT believing all the social media praise and hype, much of it on this site, but focusing on the fact that in terms of talent, at least star rankings, UFailure is the equivalent or close to Miami in terms of paper talent, if not functional talent.

When I say pump the brakes it’s so that you don’t end up on their version of Canes Tears looking like and idiot talking about pink slip for Billy should they win.

It’s also because then the fanbase builds up this high in the sky narrative, and then when/if catastrophe happens, the pendulum swings all the way back the other way and it’s miserable around here.

And just as much as it’s the responsibility of the coaches to block the positive noise for UM, those kids at UF have some pride too, so it’s just more fuel being handed to them.
 
We gonna obliterate these cucks and hang the gator skins up in the rafters alongside all the other banners at the Soffer IPF. If you scared, say you scared.

I understand what you’re saying, but the antidote to that is not posting stupid over-expectations because at the end of the day, as I said in a porst in another thread, they have athletes on their side of the ball too and it’s football, anything can happen so I hear you. On paper, just on paper, they’re about as talented as we are. Do I think we beat them? Yes, absolutely we should, we’re at home, and we are the better team, but there are no guarantees, as we have seen in the past.

But I am hoping for an epic beat down. I mean medieval.

I am this person. Reasoned. Logic based.. but man it’s Florida week. Even if we don’t win, I’m going to talk my ****. At least I had fun before they let me down again.
