Heard this excuse for 12 years now. Players come and go, and a very high percentage (compared to other much more successful Div 1 schools) go onto be very successful in the NFL. You don't make an NFL team without having talent.

It is not the players. I am honestly not sure what it is. Coaching? I think so. We hire poor coaches. Richt was fired for mediocrity, and he's the best we've hired since Coker. Yeah Coker. Richt is no Butch Davis.

But it it is something else. Is there a weed (drug) issue there? Or are the Academics too stringent compared to other more successful Div 1 schools? Is there something going on with Dade and Broward High School players?

We need to look at all options at the moment. There is a pattern of ineptness going on and simply blaming it on the players, while convenient, is just naive as to what is really going on.

it's coaching man.... and it's obvious... Kaaya has never been this bad... neither has the oline...

people keep ****ting on the players because they don't want to face the reality that the next 4-5 years with Richt are written on the wall.

He's more Golden.

we have had the worst S&C in the nation for fifteen years. we hire safe, unprepared, or just plain lazy coaches, and never pay money for a full staff. and we force our players to go to class, whereas every major program finds ways to get kids out of class. it's all self inflicted.

We clearly have the same talent and depth as Alabama and Clemson. It's 100% coaching. Close thread. Nothing else. No other variables. Just coaching.

At least be accurate. 145-51 and 83-37 in the SEC is not mediocre
He was a good coach in the first half of his career at Georgia. Not a great coach, but a good one. Things began to fall apart during the latter half of his career. Tell me why he was fired if not for mediocrity? Not winning enough games? And not winning the big games? Is that not mediocrity?

Lmao people need to open their eyes our players are garbage. We have Ahmmon, Norton, McIntosh, Shaq, Pick, and Elder, those are our only good players and three of them are freshmen. Ya our coaching has been subpar but our players execution has been down right awful.

man just stop. There are a lot of variables. Yes. But come on. Does this look like a well coached team right now? but you are right. There are more variables.

We have no depth. We don't even have an All-American player.. remember those? Richt needs to get more talent period!

Richt said himself he wanted to take a year or so off. then Miami was like. We give you 4,000,000 per. That changed his mind

He was 12-2 in 2012 (2015 was his last year at UGA) and was 5 yards (and a horrible play from Aaron Murray) from the national title game (and they would have killed Notre Dame). They finished that year ranked #4 . They finished 2014 #9 .

Mediocre=of only moderate quality; not very good.

So, yeah, not mediocre. Not as good as UGA wanted (because of the standards Richt set, but not mediocre).

We are not playing like Alabama or Clemson. We are not playing like North Carolina, East Carolina or even South Carolina. We have the talent and depth those last 3 teams have. Come on man, this team with the right coach would produce. Sure, maybe not a Natty, but 20-0 vs a 2-5 team?

I never said coaching was good, or coaching wasn't a problem.

And they were 20-6 in the last two years. Did he forget everything in one offseason?

We don't have the talent or depth of North Carolina.
