Please stop saying we have ELITE ATHLETES

Wtf does having OSU and Bama oline guys mean for us to beat
The most talentless VT in 30 years?
A GT team that’s switching from the triple option?
******* FIU
******* Duke
The talent disparity is not that wide yo. Y’all can bring up recruiting rankings all u want...FIU and duke just played man 1 back to back weeks against that talent. Duke had 9 sacks.

I bring up Bama, Clemson, OSU and OU because that’s where we want the standard to be. Right now our oline room is not at a power 5 level from week to week..our “talent” plays up and down from week to week...now this has been the truth since 2005..staff after staff being brought in..if Miami has this talent advantage across the depth chart that we claim to have somebody other then MR would’ve lucked into a 10 win season. And Richt did that by winning close division games, not by dominating because of talent.

Duke isn't even going to make a bowl game. Are they better than 06 duke, sure, are they a decent football team? No.
Yet Duke was able to play Man1 and zero man without fear of one of our elite athletes getting loose..teams who have fear of another teams talent on the outside don’t do that football 101..Duke from 2006 wouldn’t dare do that in match up against Miami. Going up against our Oline gives teams like FIU and Duke the confidence to do that ****. They were able to trust their DBs in 1v1 coverage all game long

Soooooooo, if the PLAYERS are making all of these mistakes & continue to play........

......would that not be on the coaches?

If the same mistakes keep happening over and over agian, that's a coaching issue.
What mistakes? Guys not making plays. Coach designs a play to a receiver whose wide open and the QB over throws him. The QB has got to make that play and several other opportunities he over threw the receiver PLAYERS GOTTA MAKE PLAYS!

So you are basically saying the worst duke team in their history wouldn't be able to do 1v1 coverage against our WRs? In the case, give Manny an extension. He could have possibly out athleted the worst Duke team in history.

I haven’t seen a lot of procedural mistakes. Haven’t seen games being lost from kids making penalties..I see a oline struggle to make blocks. Our playmakers struggle to create separation..and when they do the QBs struggle to hit them..I see a team struggle to separate from teams that our fans perceive as inferior talent. But what I see doesn’t matter..blame goes straight to HC

You do realize that EVERY SINGLE COACH IN HISTORY draws up plays that they think are going to be successful right? With your logic, no coach is ever really at fault, because the players aren't executing the plays. If that were the case coaches would't be getting fired every year.

It’s not 7vs7..Duke and FIU Were able to play these coverages because our oline can’t be trusted to hold up. So they are able to consistently assign 8 or more to the box..when a team does that they have no fear of what you present outside. And if they see you can’t protect consistently enough to take advantage of that They will continually play that coverage. U have to win outside

Is there a way to determine who knows more football then another person? Mods maybe you guys can come up with a questionnaire so we can put this to the test lol

Okie doke. More football then me. Have a nice day sir. Happy sunday
Glad you are back on the board, I enjoy your insight. I think you mentioned that you know President Frank and that he's a competitive person, what do you think he feels about the current state of football

Cant say for certain cause I'm in vegas for the past few weeks. But knowing him I'd guess hes past disappointment. Furious at this rate. However this is a numbers game and I doubt you'll see any significant change at this point. As I've said all along manny talks alot but lacks substance. I dont see manny as the savage yall do. Guess well see if he atleast understands self preservation.

He's nothing but a big talker to me. In your opinion, what coach could return The u to The U that you guys brought back

did jarren over throw a couple of receivers yesterday yes or no? The answer to that is yes. Jarren is supposed to be a stud whose supposed to make those plays so what are you talking about. He’s not MAKING PLAYS for his team. YOU DO REALIZE THAT Don’t YOU? You sound like these other hand jobs on this board who want the coaches fired but maybe the coaches watch more film than you and see things that should work based on the skill set of their team/players but doesn’t because these fake 4/5 ⭐️ kids **** the bed instead of playing like the studs they supposedly are. ONCE AGAIN EVEN A COACH WHO COACHES A TEAM TO A 12-0 RECORD HAS SOMETHING TO WORK ON OR FO BETTER WITH THEIR TEAM. WITH THAT BEING SAID PLAYERS MUST MAKE PLAYS TOO!

Yes I understand our OC/DC could be better with play calling but name me more than two players on our starting offense and defense that could start on bama or Ohio state? Me personally after Greg R their is no one else. These kids gotta make plays.
Your missing the boat dude!! We are talking ACC Coastal, you are talking national prominence!!

whoever the coach is has to change the culture..your not wrong tho..neither is the other guys on this board. Their reasoning is just misplaced. They talk as if these coaches don’t know ball because the results suck. They think these coaches aren’t putting players in position to be successful..I see the over throws..I see the missed tackles..I see the dropped ints..I see the muffed punts..I see guys running open but the Qb under duress..I see a guy in punt safe allow his man to just run by because he took a play off..I see lineman getting beat off the ball..I see a dB give up a 4-17 because He lost track of his responsibility..I see guys cutting runs to the outside instead of getting upfield to get a 1st down..I see a young QB doing the one thing you can’t do to a team your precieved as the favorite and turn the ball over at a alarming rate.

These coaches do know football..the assistants from last year all landed high quality jobs as soon as they hit the market. But According to many here TB was a jag of a coach and the reason deejay fumbled. Hartley just screamed, searels knew nothing and Dugans couldn’t show kids how to catch a football. Now Enos who was regarded as a good offensive coach and elite QB coach, good enough for Saban is regarded as a bum here. Stubberfield isn’t qualified to work here. Hickson is holding back the running back room. Barry can’t coach 3 first year limited with talent starters to play at a highly level...it’s comical..The problem stems from the culture..it’s something that we won’t know is fixed until we see the results on Saturdays. It’s something X’s and O’s alone won’t fix. It’s fixed in evaluating the proper prospects especially up front . It’s fixed in recruiting and how the program is structured from Jan—aug

So what are you trying to say? Our offensive line is better than a lot of teams that beat FIU.

Statistically and by the eye test..it surely isn’t. Couple of those kids should not be playing rn at this point their careers. They were not given time to develop. Thrown right in the fire..bro we just gave up 33 QB pressures and 9 sacks..that is astronomical numbers

No one is saying the OL is great, however, it is better than FAUs an a bunch of other c-USA teams.

It doesn’t perform like it..proof is in the play vs those level of teams and others. Along with my eyes and along with the numbers it has allowed

So you are saying, the guy you spent all year defending, ended up creating a line that is worse than the majority of G5 teams?

great response with substance. Yes this is all true and fans on this board want the coaches gone and I understand their limited perspective to some degree. But like you understand and I explained earlier the fans don’t understand the X’s and O’s As far as what the coaches see on film and what scheme is best to run based on what they see. Fans don’t understand the drop off in depth at the offensive line. Fans don’t see the execution in practice but on game day players ****ting the bed on game day and then you can’t go to the other guy because he can’t remember his plays or brain farts to often in practice to have confidence in him in the game. I get frustrated because people on here are always trying to change the narrative when you pose a question to make you look like you don’t know what your talking about. YES THE COACHING CAN BE BETTER AND THAT GOES FOR AN UNDEFEATED TEAM AS WELL. But our “ so called ELITE players have to make that special play in open field. That “strip tackle” THAT BUBBA BOLDEN MADE IN THE PITT GAME. THATS A 4/5 ⭐️ play. Catching a five yard screen and taking it to the house. These are the plays that change the close games. Ie. KJ Osborn breaking that crucial tackle to score and win the game instead of falling down. Tbh the defense is fine it’s the offense that continues to put the defense in compromising positions but hey I DON’T KNOW FOOTBALL 🤷🏽‍♂️
