Playoff scenario

If Miami Loses a Game here is what you would like

Bama stays unbeaten and beats Auburn

Bama beats Georgia in SEC championship

Bama takes 1 spot

Michigan needs to beat Ohio State

Ohio State needs to beat Wisconsin

The two loss Auburn and Ohio State need to drop a game

Auburn will beat Bama in the Iron Bowl.

The Football Gods have spoken. Auburn MUST beat Bama to get in, so they will.

Taint needs us and Wisky to lose. I think we run the table to the Playoffs by beating Pitt and Clemson. Taint’s brown bag money isn’t helping it this year, unless we fvck up.

If Auburn beats Bama, Bama is still in, and we are the first one loss team 2 loss Auburn would jump. Not really keen on anything happening that potentially will hurt us.

Perfect scenario would be Michigan beating Ohio state and then Ohio state beating Wisky.

This would ensure we get in no matter what happens vs Clemson.

Actually it wouldn’t.

They would use Ohio State’s late surge to replace us with them. Let’s also assume that Auburn beats Bama and both SEC schools get in and Clemson gets in because they’re NC holders, ACC champs, and they beat us.

Ohio state would not get in over us in this scenario

Last year Penn State was left out as two loss champ because there was a 1 loss team (Ohio State)

We would be the one loss team and get in over two loss champ with two blow out losses

Committee also left out Penn State because of "non-competitive" loss to Michigan

Ohio State would be same exact thing but with two of those losses

Miami fans want bama and Ohio State to win out

Obviously if we win we are IN ,but you're naive if you think Clemson is gonna roll over so bama and Ohio State winning out can't hurt us , only helps us

Neither am I, but Bama is walking wounded into that game. It has War **** Eagle written all over it.

Bama has been beating up on Nunneries all year. Doesn’t inspire confidence.

More importantly who would we rather play after we beat Clemson? I would rather play Oklahoma 1st round.

We are not losing to Clemson, so point is moot.

It seems like people around here would rather talk about us losing to Clemson than winning. It is crazy.
Why would we have to talk about the playoffs if we win ?

We're guaranteed to get in if we win so what the f*ck is talking about the scenarios in that case

I agree, I think we can and will beat Clemson but this stuff is just stupid to and moan about what we think would help us in every scenario

We might, MIGHT stay ahead of a two loss OSU team IF we lose a very close game to Clemson. We will not stay ahead of a two loss Auburn team that is peaking right now. Really hoping Michigan beats OSU and OSU beats Wisconsin, and Bama wins out.

Of course, ideally I want to win out and everyone else maul each other.

People would rather talk about possible scenarios about us losing. Rather than talk about who we will face in the Playoffs once we win the ACC and get the unanimous #1 seed.

I actually agree with this. And I think we’ll have a VaTech like victory over them.

That will put us at 2 or 3, which is fine by me. I’d rather play Auburn or Bama in the NC.

I don’t think we’ve seen the upside of this Canes team yet. Which means that nobody else has, either.

I've followed college football for 36 years, and everyone competitive looks at scenarios that are helpful down the stretch. It's the natural order of things. If you're not talking about beneficial scenarios, your team is completely out of the running for anything of meaning. Like say, FSU and UF fans.

My biggest question is if Alabama loses a close one to Auburn in the Iron Bowl and then Georgia has a convincing win in the SEC Title Game

Does 1 loss Georgia jump back up into play? Bama seems like they're locked in no matter what.

Yep

If Auburn beats Bama then Miami must win out. Because I don’t see a scenario where there are two ACC schools and two SEC schools in the playoffs.

If Clemson beats Miami they are in because they are the defending champs and deserve the right to defend their title

Oklahoma are the media darlings this season so if they win they are in

If UGA wins the rematch over Auburn in the SEC. The SEC bias is going to be Huge

I am pretty sure they would put Auburn in so it would be one spot left

A one loss Bama vs a one loss Miami, I just don’t see anyone having our back. That would leave

1.Clemson
2. Oklahoma
3. Auburn
4. Bama or Miami - just don’t see us ahead of Bama

1. Miami needs to win out, take care of Pitt in a difficult road game, and beat Clemson in what will be an Away Game for us. There’s no choice in the matter.

2. Wisconsin is Fredo.

In this scenario an undefeated Wisconsin knocks out Miami and Bama.

2 Loss SEC Champ Auburn would knock out both Georgia and Alabama I think, Alabama's SOS is brutal for a 1 loss non conference champion to get in.

Wins over FPI top 50:
Clemson, 8
Miami, 6
Okla, 6
UGA, 5
Alabama, 4
Auburn, 4
Wisconsin, 3
Ohio St, 2
