Opening of negotiation.. Lets sit at the table and open them books.. The funniest part was keeping non revenue sports, I dont know who represents them but they might not understand that if you have 100 non revenue sports that takes money out of your pocket.. No other sport supports another sport in the world.. let the govt support them if needed, see how quick people say they can do without, lol

This is what I’ve suggested on this board a couple times. The only way it works is making them choose scholarship or test the market and pay your own way. No laws will need to change. It’s fair across the board. Offer it to all players in all sports. Pretty easy choice for elite kids but most of them will have to face reality and take the free ride.

Redistribution of wealth only works in ivory tower environments.
 
Can’t be a union. We are talking lots of state schools and some states have “right to work” laws that don’t let state employees unionize or it lets them but they can’t collectively bargain. Union won’t happen. Loose association with little power could happen.
