Coach Cristobal mentioned in His monday presser that LT Zion Nelson & RB Jaylan Knighton will be back against southern miss and both are expected to PLAY.

As well as: L Taylor, J Clarke & Isaiah Horton (Suspended) all will be good to go for week 2.

*Also applauded OL Anez Cooper for his play and said he expects him to “be a great one” and to contribute a lot this season.

*also noted that he was disappointed with the defense for the most part Saturday. Said what/how they practiced didn’t translate to the field at times and is looking to clean that up.

*Very excited for LB W Bissainthee, said they are hurrying to get him to look the playbook/what to do because they want/need him on the field.

Really do expect a BIG jump in execution this week. Zion/rooster & Horton being back for the O is great for OL/RB depth as well as competition at wide receiver.

*these reporters man…you can tell Mario is already tired of some of them.

Interested to see how Campbell stays engaged with Zion back
Very interested to see if Campell is slid inside or to RT or if he is just simply 1st man in the rotation for Tackle. Thought the entire O-Line did great saturday. Excited to see if that holds to D1 Comp (albeit pretty weak Competition but it’s a step up none the less)

Rooster and Parrish together will be dynamic. Popcorn ready.

I love our 3 RB’s. They all bring something different to the table and complement each other well.

Rooster is our big play home run threat with elite speed.
Parrish is a Jack of all trades. Great vision, balance, and a good pass catcher. He won’t break off a ton of big runs but he’s dependable.
And Franklin is our big bruiser. I can see him being highly effective coming in during the 4th quarter when the opposing defense is getting tired.

I think it’s too soon to say Agude is not translating from practice to games.

Also Knighton is too valuable to risk injury and snaps on PR. I’d try Perry, Walden in practice and Malik Curtis there to see if they pop.

I liked reading this. If we clean up some of the missed tackles and a few break downs in coverage, we'll be in a good position to compete with atm.

*Very excited for LB W Bissainthe, said they are hurrying to get him to look the playbook/what to do because they want/need him on the field.

I noted in my game review that Caleb Johnson was coaching Bissainthe up before the snap on every play when they were both in the game. Johnson was showing WB where to line up and was pointing things out to him all the up to the snap. Its clear that he's still learning the play book.

Good stuff, Stevo. Thanks for posting it.
