Crazy to think that if mammy was still here we don’t land McCoy Cooper Kelly and Wes (probably missing a few)
But wasn't that only a few days before Mario became official?Wes committed to Manny.
Gametape didn’t show that. Bethune targeted him specifically the first series, particularly in the pass game.Flagg graded out as one of our best defenders on Saturday so not sure he is talking about him
Lol man cmon. He knew. Worst kept secret everWes committed to Manny.
Flagg had about 2 solo tackles and the rest was standing by the pile.Flagg graded out as one of our best defenders on Saturday so not sure he is talking about him
I don’t think he’d have issues catching it.No keep a guy who has sure hands back there.
This is true but carries will be split anyways. Can’t be afraid for him to get hit. There are other options and restrepo is fine back there. I’d just prefer knighton. Also we have no depth at RB. Agreed Knighton needs to be left off punt return
Well the right things are being said.
As fans we always want the backups. Week 4 starters will tell me everything I need to know about who Mario is.Mario walks the talk. So I do expect change. I'm particularly expecting the LB snap count composition to shift the way we hope it will over the next few games. Can't rush young players too quickly. But Wes and Chase will be folded into the rotation as long as they continue to develop.
That OL though?! We're finally seeing real depth on both sides of the ball across the line. We've come a long way since 2019 when true freshman Zion and RS freshman John C were our starting tackles vs. Florida ... a game we still should have won if not for Baxa.
Either way you have to like the offensive line depth and having Cooper as a surprise addition to the rotation.Very interested to see if Campell is slid inside or to RT or if he is just simply 1st man in the rotation for Tackle. Thought the entire O-Line did great saturday. Excited to see if that holds to D1 Comp (albeit pretty weak Competition but it’s a step up none the less)

Week 4**week 3
i agree on the sentiment that coaches go with players they trust, but players have no built in trust with this staff. However, there's enough tape in certain players that coaches can "trust" them to miss tackles n assignments. if they're serious about winning in AnM then certain starters will have a big reduction in snaps from what we saw on saturday.Week 4*
I don't think we see a change before week 3. Coaches typically go with players they trust more in big games. If post A&M it looks the same I'll be worried.
Unless Southern Miss has an offensive explosion you are setting yourself up for disappointment.i agree on the sentiment that coaches go with players they trust, but players have no built in trust with this staff. specifically on defense, my thought has always been all players make mistakes, but i want on the field players athletic enough to make up for their mistakes
i've been doing it for the last 20 years, this wouldn't be any different.Unless Southern Miss has an offensive explosion you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
You aren't wrong I'm just choosing to not be disappointed. If the snap counts shift this week the gloves are off.i've been doing it for the last 20 years, this wouldn't be any different.
in all seriousness, they dont have to put up 30 points for the staff to see things that need to be corrected re: personnel
pay all that $ for an elite staff, it's their responsibility to get the most out of the best players, not just settle for known mediocrity.
Wesley Bissainthe had the highest rated PFF grade yet only had 9 snaps. Dunsun had 65.5 grade & Porter had 64.4 yet they got less snaps combined (31) than Ivey's 37 snaps (graded 55)
its a disservice to the kids to wait until ACC play to get them more reps. The time to get them reps is now against lesser opponent, rather than the players that have been making the same mistake for years.
Just like Malik Nabers. No keep a guy who has sure hands back there.
Saw him talking to one of his teammates after the game.Just like Malik Nabers.
