Player Led Practice

This.

The extent of how overrated Botch was cannot be overstated.

He identified and amassed some of the best talent in UM (and college football) history. No doubt.

But that’s where it ends.

The guy was a mediocre game day coach, and is a horrible human being. The hero worship needs to end.

I’ve never bashed Ivey the person I bash Ivey the player. He seems like a good person, works hard, does everything right but as a football player he is one of the worst players I’ve ever seen.
The only CB we’ve brought in that took time away from him wasn’t even a recruit or ours he was a transfer

The lack of DB recruiting these last 4 years has been a ******* travesty. We shouldn’t even be talking about Ivey

Seems like when they go up tempo they play better ... every body pays attention, is more engaged, and they execute better. Slow the tempo .... they just don't seem to move.
Even last szn and under Lashlee this was a issue..it’s gotta be something man..and it’s not so much me blaming attendance either..whatever we do in morning prep to the drive over has to be evaluated. We’ll see if it’s a trend under Mario too. But today was definitely a slow start again

Don’t know what it is but I remember under coley we used to start fast and then couldn’t move the ball in 2nd halfs lol

Good point. The whole pregame schedule needs to be scrutinized. From meals to arrival time, etc.

Coley would always script the first drive. They’d specifically practice that set of plays during the week and by Saturday, they’d have the script perfected. Unfortunately, once they moved past the scripted plays, Coley’s offense fell off significantly

After watching the Canes for almost 30 years, slow starts are just a thing. From the preseason #1 team in 1993 to now, I have ALWAYS thought…”just get out of the first quarter.” The fact we responded in the second half with solid execution calms my nerves a bit. To me, this game was the perfect prelude to A&M. These is no way this team is not fired up. Win or lose, we need to look like we belong.

Honestly, you should be partying tonight. Your college years will fly by
They can still party tonight. They played a noon game and live in Miami. They can have a 3 hour practice spend 2 hours in the training room getting some recovery work and take a 3 hour nap if they wanted to before most parties/clubs even get started here.

Mario should have all the clubs not let in players during the season lol

No reason to bash the young man because when the cameras are on he can't accomplish what the coaches are asking him to.
Also no reason to play him if he can't accomplish what the coaches are asking him to. He's a model citizen, I'm genuinely happy for him.

But ultimately the metrics that count are what you do in a game. It doesn't matter how great of a person he is or how he practices, he's just not good in games. We've had uncountable Green Tree All-Americans.

This team is judged on game days and this dude is an absolute liability when it matters.

It because our QB was groomed to play up tempo...it's like asking Dan Marino to play like Jim McMahan ....

I agree with you. It's baffling the coaches still play him as much as they do. But we've seen porter, Curtis, couch, all get beat in their very limited opportunities. Even Tyrique has been beaten a few times. haven't seen enough of Dunson.
Graves, Rogers, and Jaden Harris are all true freshmen but still haven't seen enough of them to judge.
