Playcalling is fine

Yea, there's some on here obsessed with hating whoever our coach is, it's weird.

The play calling is fine and the people who incessantly whine over it should just get a hobby because if you think Coach is giving that up, they are foolish.

It's really just the cliche people on here go to when the offense struggles. OL getting zero push in the run game? Play calling. QB missing wide open receivers? Play calling. They cry about motion and want to see end arounds and ****.

No wonder why they are fans and not coaches, except on Madden.

Former players complain about the vanilla , predictable offense. If you knew an x from an o you’d complain too. Instead of running around down voting like a blind cult member,

Nobody wants your god fired , they’re just sick of watching a late 90’s/2000’s offense.

While other colleges are running updated schemes, scoring more points with less talent.

Out talenting people is over, scheming matters more now than ever. I mean Alabama is even running a lot of the smoke in mirrors, and scheming to go with the talent.

If you can’t counter former players or people that know what they’re watching then just shut up. You sound silly.

It’s year three dude and the offense is still the same ole crap, alternating games , halves and quarters with good/awful play.

I can’t understand Mike Harley not getting more touches. I’m telling you now. He will be a star in the NFL & people are going to say “He went to Miami”?

Thats what I love about kosi! He shares the ball. Rosier would throw it to richards or thomas every time very predictable.

Alabama complained about playcalling then Tua came
Louisville is supposed to have amazing playcalling then lamar left
LSU had terrible playcalling then burrow came
Notre Dame had terrible playcalling then Book came

We have terrible playcalling until we get an offensive line. Only so much trickery can be done without an offensive line.
Everyone loves Oklahomas offense but they have a dominant o line and great quarterbacks in recent years. Wait till we get a better o line and perry matures and we could be dominant

You said it. No amount of playcalling makes receivers catch the ball, QBs put the ball where it needs to be or see who's open, or makes the OL block correctly.

There are things Richt could and should do to make things a little easier on his offense, but calling different plays isn't going to fix our problems. For that we need recruiting and experience.

Most of the time when a guy doesn't "get more touches" it's because he's not getting open, not that the coach decided not to throw to him.

Looking forward to this week's film review write up so I can see what was actually going on. Probably more of the same OL getting owned.

FSU’s weakness on D is when people run to the outside or test there corners. As a play caller we ran at least 15+ plays right up the middle into the heart of FSU D which has really good DT.

Richt with his play calling coached the fans and crowd right out of the game and also lost any positive confidence Kosi had. It was straight garbage. He coached like you maybe would with 2 elite teams feeling each other out afraid to make the first mistake. This years FSUs team isn’t good we should have come out aggressive.

I’d also like to see Lo get way more burn and add some game breaking at RB.

Richt is not a great play caller but he's not as bad as some of our fans protray him to be. Richt looks to run the ball and so do I. Did he have me ****ed yesterday, **** yeah. Our ol is getting better at running the ball. We just can't run it against good dl's. If you remember last year we struggled running against garbage dl's

man they have a new OC, our playcalling sucks....we play in slow motion, you can't be simple in this game especially when you are suppose to be spread...our offense never puts pressure on a defense, they know what we are doing and where we are going 95% of the time...if that's not bad playcalling then I don't know....

Do we run any other plays out of empty, or just QB draw?

Any other run plays besides inside/outside zone?

We have a high school playbook.
Anybody who thinks our offense is perfectly fine can't possibly watch other (good) college football teams.

The announcer actually said we we’re going to run qb draw and I said to myself he’s right........right on que we ran qb draw. Our offense is very predictable.

Would not say play calling was fine yesterday, particularly in first half. However down twenty points in 3rd period play calling was what it should be to score 21 points and win game. Appears obvious to me Richt is protecting Kosi maybe to a fault at this point. Remembering when he had an Aaron Murray at Ga was a whole different game plan, and as Perry continues to grow that will happen. Coaches know more about players capabilities and what’s happening in practice. Easy for us Stands and armchair QB’s and high school coaches calling something after fact but we winning and Kosi getting better.

Nah the play calling was ***.

I spent the whole game yelling "SCREEN IT!"and "THROW A BUBBLE!" because those are plays you don't need an O-line to run (see FSU TE screen). It's like Richt doesn't get the QB's in a grove. I ain't saying bubble screen them to death but they were stacking the box all game. It would of help had we spread them out and hit them with some effective bubble screens. It could of hopefully get them out of that 2 deep look but all we did was pound the ball.

Also Perry needs to keep some of these read options. He just has to show he is willing to pull because that was the was problem with Kaaya so everyone just ran after the RB. That is what Rosier provided in the run game.

I agree there were a lot of things we could have done to keep them off balance once they adjusted to the inside running game after the first few series.

I don't understand why we are so allergic to the concept of motion and putting playmakers in the backfield to draw attention away from the other reads Perry will make. the advantage of having multiple Playmakers is that when they have to change their defensive attention to account for one in the backfield that is one less set of eyeballs tracking a playmaker downfield which is where we keep trying to go with the ball.

The lack of a quick short-to-intermediate passing game was mind-boggling as well seeing as dropping back and going vertical was a 50/50 proposition for much of the game.

There has to be more to our running game then the three or four plays we called. That's all I'll say about that.

Apparently all of the sportswriters and college coaches disagree with you because we still are buried at 15 in the polls. They still all view the U as an imposter.

Play calling was nothing but average at best and we gave away three points at the half. I don't care if Richt has coached for 300 years but he is NOT an OC and his day game decisions are the worst I have ever seen in 55 years watching football. No reason to be behind 20 points to a mediocre team except the play calling is predictable, mundane, and does not attack defenses. Yeah we won and we can thank the defense. The offense, certain special teams, the OL, and day game decisions was a major league disaapointment. I believe Perry can become a very special QB before he moves on.
