Why didn’t we hire him as head coach instead of a guy who was fired as a defensive coordinator?
PJ wasn't coming here... you aren't outbidding that state school

Tell that to FSUDon't pay attention to the extension. It's all about the "buyout" money that's in the contract. He could have signed any length of extension, but each coaching contract has a buyout clause built in that isn't the total figure of the contract, but a much lower amount.
I don’t know about that. If Fleck can get things rolling, maybe he can have Minnesota a consistent Top 10-15 team.Depends. There is an inherent ceiling on what Minnesota can achieve no matter how long he's there. But he might just enjoy the lifestyle and want to say even if there is a ceiling on what he can achieve.

Consistent top 10-15 in that region, no. But he can definitely run a program based on development like you see at TCU, northwestern, Washington state etc. the type that u see crack the top 15-20 every 3 or four years. But every year I don’t think soI don’t know about that. If Fleck can get things rolling, maybe he can have Minnesota a consistent Top 10-15 team.
Nah. Don't have that natural recruiting base and won't ever be a national recruiter. Ohio State & Michigan control the region. National schools come in and poach as well. Michigan State & Wisconsin get the leftovers. Think Northwestern as the most comparable school. Up & down over a long period of time, never challenge for a championship.
You’re making an assumption. No one can consistently win 9-11 games at Minnesota?
Wishful thinking. He would have been willing to leave Minnesota for Miami.
Fair enough. I’m not predicting anything, and agree Minnesota will always have an uphill battle for recruits. I do think the right coach can win there on a consistent basis, meaning 9 games or more. Fleck may be that type of recruiter. No, I'm not making an assumption. I'm utilizing critical thinking. Based on geography as it relates to recruiting, school, conference, competition, alumni base, etc. But agree to disagree at this point.
Fake James loves to hire dudes that were fired. Why didn’t we hire him as head coach instead of a guy who was fired as a defensive coordinator?
Babers is garbage people keep getting hyped for head coaches that have one good year. Penn States QB makes Malik Rosier seem like Aaron Rodgers. He is so inaccurate I'm sure someone on the bench is better but typical bad decision by a head coachI'm not hyping anyone after what Dino Babers is doing this year.
I want to see how a coach coaches with a target on their back. Babers got exposed a bit.
His offense is basic af.....I have to see this in year two to believe. This one year hot coach thing is super risky it's why guys like Taggert get jobs
