UCF is a much better program than WMU. So you like Handy Manny, good for you but unless he pulls an Orgeron and gets an OC then this is the new Miami he bragged about. Champ bowls in good years and Belks in average seasons.

You people are too predictable. If anyone says anything about a coach of another team, then you must like Manny.

FYI, Scott Frost took over a team that went 0-12 the year before.

I do think he is a good coach. I don't think he's the end all be all or the guy for Miami. He first needs to actually have a better record than his predecessors.

The next 4 games will be very telling. He may end up losing 3 out of the next 4

I know and they had been to the Fiesta a few years prior. O’Leary was a good HC that went stale and retired.
The thread was about PJ Fleck, its all opinions but I think he is a much better coach than Handy and should have been sought after last season instead of giving it to Diaz. Today didn’t really offer anything different from what we’ve seen all year. Every game is close, no improvement and the fact that every team we play is marginal it masks how far we are from being good, much less an elite national player.

Have you seen his record in his first year of both jobs? He'd be murdered at Miami

Also their strength of schedule is the next to last weakest in their 128 year history.
Ya well it’s relative to Minnesota football and what talent they bring in. They can’t do anything than play who they have to play.

They have played the worst schedule in D1.

N Dakota St
Fresno St
Ga Southern
Purdue 2-6
Illinois 4-4
Nebraska 4-4
Rutgers 2-6
Maryland

Losing 3 of next 4

That is about as difficult as it gets in a November. 9-3 is still a big year for Minnesota and he's still building. You got to realize, the threshold to be good in that division is not particularly high. If he continues to build the lines beating Iowa and Wisconsin regularly is not out of the picture and they could do it this year.

They steal one of those against the current ranked teams. They are sneaky great on offense. Tanner Morgan with 10.7 ypa which is 4th best in the nation. Rodney Smith been good. Two future pros at WR. They'll get someone there.

They need to watch themselves @Northwestern if things want to get a little crazy, but N'Western ain't all that good.

I need a respected poster to tell me if this guys an elite recruiter or a prop joe special
I’m just a porster but any guy that can step into western Michigan, go 1-11 his first season, and then pull the best class in the conference that offseason and continue to do so the rest of his tenure is a legit recruiter to me. I think a lot of us would be ok if Diaz and staff were recruiting with Clemson right now.

Agree if Manny had a top three class this season wouldnt bother me. Whwn u recruit like that u can claim its a rebuild. When u recruit the way we have its a teardown built with a foundation made of silly puddy

What was Diaz suppose to say in the beginning of the year? Rebuild? Fleck is in year 3. Let’s see what Diaz does in year 3.
