Pittsburgh was a microcosm of why Enos needs to go

It’s pretty simple... all of the best offensive teams in the country currently... Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Clemson and LSU... are all running variations of the spread/Air Raid offense.

But Manny hires an OC to run an outdated “pro-style” offense.

Enos/Harbaugh/Richt outdated “pro-style” offense.

Sometimes I think posters here forget other teams give scholarships and pay their coaches to scheme and game plan every week.

Pitt came in with a Top 20 defense nationally is #1 overall in sacks. They have a couple of DBs that would be in the starting lineup for 95% of the Power 5 teams out there. There were hundreds of posts about how neither of our QBs would survive the first half pass rush onslaught.

So when an oppsing defense comes in and plays as advertised, the answer is to fire our OC? Imo in games like these an offense needs to take advantage of limited opportunites to score. Enos wasn't a world beater today but there were MULTIPLE opportunities where Perry sailed throws over the heads of wide open guys and we again had more than an acceptable number of crucial drops. From the first pass to his last, Perry at times seemed to have no idea where the ball was going when it left his hand.

That's why Jarren was named the starter and should stay there going forward. Yes he takes too many sacks, but he is poised and accurate as ****. The offense looked way better the moment he took over. We'll see how he looks going forward.

My comment wasn't a slight towards Jarren. On the contrary, it's almost criminal that he's making an accurate and smart QB look inept at times because he refuses to scheme to his players. It's overall stubbornness that is killing us on that side of the ball. 17 points against CMU with Jarren is simply inexcusable.

Lmao you blame the players for everything and I'm the imbecile, we're near dead last in almost all offensive statistical categories
If you think Enos is a bigger problem than Kosi and our OL then yes, you’re a ******* imbecile and CIS is corroding your brain.

I’ve seen posts on here criticizing Enos for a PA rollout to the left that Perry missed a wide open receiver by a mile because “Perry is a righty”.

Was that you? Keep blaming nothing but coaches when reality is slapping you right in the face

For our next OC hire can we please get someone with a history of not only running a uptempo spread offense but a high 3rd down percentage?

This should surprise no one but Enos' offenses at Arkansas were terrible on 3rd down. Signs of a bad OC are the ones who does not put his team in enough 3rd and short situations hence the percentage.
Of course not! Our AD doesn’t like spread up tempo football apparently! They wanna run Iowa’s scheme in south Florida !

He's had 9 weeks to scheme around the offensive line. He's chosen Kosi as his guy over the last few weeks. The players not executing is part of the much larger problem the is the scheme.

Yep. No matter how bad an OL is, it’s really never a hindrance. Gotcha

If it's not the OL, it's Kosi, if it's not Kosi, it's the OL. Just keep rotating excuses week to week to fit your narrative that Enos is an exceptional playcaller.
Lmao. What gameplan would work with Kosi or this OL? FFS!!!

You know that before this week and FSU played the second worst ACC team we were outgaining FSU in YPP against P5 teams? And losing PPG by 1? What scheme is going to magically make the worst OL in the nation better and a QB CLEARLY holding us back? ******* christ almighty

i hate Enos as much as everyone else but yall need to get some facts straight. We ran a TON of shotgun spread today. It didn't do ****

And we all hate the PA but its actually been VERY effective if/when OL blocks (yes thats a big if I'm aware)

Was watching Oklahoma today and Hurts has ALL day to throw. Our OL kills half the offense regardless of scheme. And oh yeah, their receivers CATCH the ball and their QB is accurate.

Yes Enos should adapt more but our talent is also young and suspect across the board aside from maybe Brevin, DJ, Cam, JT (1/2 the time)
