Never root against my team no matter what. Fans wanting our team to tank just to get the coach fired are NOT fans at all!!!

Not going to disagree with you about rooting vs the team. I hate it.

Rooted hard for my Canes last week but for the sake of the program and the political disease that has infected the program, need to be sure Manny & Blake are eliminated.

If/when Diaz is fired, the program is essentially blown up starting over from scratch waiting 3-5 years to see progress. You'll be accepting 6-6, 7-5 seasons hoping the new coach can take us to the promise land. You will lose some good players to the Portal and lose nearly all of the 8 committed recruits for 2022. You'll have subpar recruiting classes while your team continues its mediocrity of wins/losses. It's not all peaches and cream. I'd rather have the continuity with Lashlee and TVD along with the other assistant coaches. We have an offense we can win with. We have young players we can win with. This team has the talent to win an ACC title, but have not been coached well. There are many issues that may never be corrected under Diaz, but just firing him because he deserves it doesn't serve anyone unless a plan is in place. Agreements with a proven coach before the firing. Not a search hoping to land a body. The coaching pool is small. It's even smaller for proven winners.

Agree with the plan part regarding a new coach but I am confused with the Lashlee part? You want to keep Lashlee due to continuity with TVD?

That’s not how it works, unless the new HC is high on Lashlee. Jury is still out of Lashlee’s play call issues were related the previous QB or what not
 
I actually think Pitt comes out flat. Beating Clemson is still a big deal. Miami comes out to play early. I’d say 21-10 Miami at half. Pitt comes back and Pickett makes a play at the end. 34-31 Pitt.

Yes. Lashlee isn't perfect and I don't like some of his play calling, but he did show me something by giving TVD plays he does well with. He game planned around TVD's strengths and listened to TVD's input.

You just think you can plug in a new OC with an entirely different offensive scheme and think things will be just fine? They won't. It will be a grind for TVD, the other QBs and the entire offense to learn a new system. This **** ain't plug and play. We're starting to see our offense grow. If we could ever get good consistent run blocking, we'd score 40+ a game and the passing game would open up even more. We're scoring 30+ now.

If we beat Pitt and run the table to go 8-4, does Diaz keep his job?

8-4 & wins a bowl game? IMO, he keeps it unless Mario says I want that job.

I want Diaz & Blake out, but with enough progress being made were the team is developing and attractive to Mario or another good coach with changes being made in how the program is run and I only see Mario as the best choice at a good coach with a revamp in the admin & how football is viewed, like a real program.

Otherwise, I could see them perhaps getting a decent coach with no real change in the admin or how the program should be run.
 
The kids have taken over this team and they wanna win. If we avoid the 15 minute stall out we had in the second quarter last week, I got 41-38 Canes.

Why is that exactly ?

Most guys come to UM because they want to get to the NFL. How is that working out under Diaz? Are guys being developed properly under Diaz? Are champions being built under Diaz?

Manny has been here 6 years, how many of "his" guys has he put into the league?
