Pipe dream: Kliff Kingsbury as OC

Kingsbury would be nice but not sure that would be realistic, at least not as OC.
The good news is that there are many Leach disciples working at many schools.
Also, I would take a look at Kevin Johns, who is currently Kingsbury's OC and also worked many years at Northwestern and Indiana (Kevin Wilson's OC).

Looks like Texas Tech is going to go after Venables as its new HC if they get rid of Kinsbury.

Yall may not like it, but Richt probably won't go with Briles bc of the off-field stuff. Or he's very unlikely I should say. At the best I think Briles would be behind Kingsbury on the call list.

Briles has had the better offense statistically this season, but it's not by a ton. And KK doesn't have the "other" issues either.

What did Kendal Briles do? His dad had the off-field issues, NOT him.

It’s literally in the Bible that you’re not supposed to punish the son “for the sins of the father.”

I’m not saying he should definitely get the job, but judge the man on his own merits, not on his dad’s.

I mean you can say that all you want, but there's a reason he got fired along with his pops. Coached on the same team, I'd have to imagine he knew about some of the stuff but that's neither here nor there. Guilty by association. Plenty of people have had it happen to them, whether deserved or not. It is what it is.

As people have already posted, it'll be a miracle if Richt hires someone outside of his type of offense. Add to that off the field issues, perceived or otherwise? I'm saying I think it's slim to none. But we'll see.

Out of all the crackhead suggestions for OC, you know Briles, Freeze, Matt Canada, this is one of the names that is an actual possibility IMO.

For the Brian Yost fans out there. I see he was a good part of the Mizzou teams that were pretty good. However why is he at Utah State? He was Oregon then taggert came in and called plays so he was let go, but if he is as good as you claim why is he at Utah State? Did he do something that this is a rehad stint? Is he a west coast guy (the hair leads me to believe that)? It's an actual question as i don't know much about him.

I will say this... IF we pay 1 mil + a year for an OC, it had **** well better not be a Richt yes man. Richt aint writing that check, so he shouldn't be making the decision on his own. Said it before and I'll say it again. Give Richt a short list of candidates to choose from, otherwise he's going to promote his son to OC.

The problem with the Kingsbury Dream is not in him coming here but him not ending up in a wheelchair once he's here. That dude has been smashing Texas white girl *** his entire *** smashing career and probably has an overinflated sense of what he can handle.

The first piece of Latin or Dade County black girl *** he thinks he can just jump right into might result in a spinal injury. Even his bro Ryan Gosling slowly worked his way up to Eva Mendes from Sandra Bullock and Rachel McAdams.

exactly, IMO, realistically we're not getting one of those 'big names' but what UM needs to do is get the next up-and-coming guy or the 'disciples' as you label them. But this offense at UM needs a whole new fresh approach

It’s not the female *** you have to worry about.

To paraphrase one of your well-worn quips...we are running a beta-max offense in an era of YouTube and Netflix TV.....this offense reeks of nursing-home **** smell.

It's David Yost. He was passing game coordinator and QB coach in his one year at Oregon so OC at utah state was an upward move.

Does anybody think its realistic that Richt fires his son and takes a chance that he may not find another job considering the only ones he's ever had were handed to him by his dad at Georgia, then at Miami, and was an intern with the Bills where I'm sure daddy pulled some strings.... Not only that but if he does somehow get another job chances are it wont be local and Richt's son and grandchildren will be moving away.

Only way we get an OC is if he coaches OL at the same time. Or maybe we fire Patke or demote him to make room. But how are you gonna justify that with how well the striker position has played and firing someone off a top 5 D in cfb? Not only that but he's Manny's guy. He's followed Manny on multiple stops along with Banda. No way Manny lets that slide when its obvious it would only be to protect his son's job. I'm sure Manny wants nothing to do with the nepotism and doesn't want it interfering with the guys he's groomed and their progression.

So basically he fires his son or he ****es off the DC that has been the only bright spot on the entire program in 2018... and that's not even considering the repercussions for our 2019 season and the ****ed off fans.
