I get why he would be frustrated. I also get why the older letterwinners would be upset. That said, our older letterwinners are part of the problem, just like Pinckney's coach is part of the problem. For far too long, we've let these guys, most of whom are in the 50s infect the program with their "Miami Guy Bro" nonsense.Meh. The problem isn’t that former players have an opinion, the problem is those player’s opinion is a negative one of the program. Don’t want me to dance then don’t let me score a TD. Don’t want me to talk **** about our ****** program then don’t give me a reason to. Weak sauce.
Don’t compare him to Shaq lol buddy’s playin in saskatchewan right now. He didn’t ball he played fine.Shaq was always out of shape, and dominate the NBA. Some people are are that talented. Don't knock the man for it. He balled when he was here. Everyone doesn't have that workout warrior in them. He was in football shape, that's all that matters.
Good luck with that take. I find it difficult to tell someone who has busted their *** and put in blood, sweat and tears into this program to keep quiet. Many have earned that right. We are talking about Football for Christ sakes. It’s not that serious.I get why he would be frustrated. I also get why the older letterwinners would be upset. This program has needed a full housecleaning for decades, because college football has changed and a lot of people in and around the program have refused to. We can appreciate what these men have done, but it's time for them to have a seat and unless they are bringing legitimate solutions besides "Hire our old teammate Mario", then I don't want to hear a **** thing.
They busted their asses, but a lot of them haven't had an original idea in 20 years either. That's the problem. They are your old uncle, telling you about the glory days, while the world changes around them. Keep in mind, it was a lot of our old letterwinners that wouldn't shut up about the pro style O, when the spread was taking over. It was the letterwinners that wouldn't let go of the fact that the Cover 2 4-3 is obsolete and flexibility is key in today's game.Good luck with that take. How about this?! Win! Then everyone will praise you and you wouldn’t have a problem with people voicing their opinions..
You really think the university is actually listening and following the advice of any former players? If they did, Díaz wouldn’t be here, and our program would probably not be in this situation it’s in. @Poopscoop would know better than I do. They are free to talk, but I'm tired of our athletic department taking pointers from them. That's why I can't wait for this school to hire a competent AD, because they will tell these guys what they should have been told years ago: We love you, we appreciate you, but you aren't running a **** thing.
I think that the lazy *** people around the program play to the older letterwinners, hence why Randy Shannon was hired, hence why an obviously over the hill Mark Richt was hired, hence why guys like Schiano and Butch continue to be candidates, even though they wouldn't be candidates for any major job in the country. You really think the university is actually listening and following the advice of any former players? Question; if he “balled” here, y wasn’t he drafted? That’s not shade, but the fact is Pinck had the highest ceiling out of the trio, and imo, he didn’t dedicate himself to hitting that ceiling vs relying on God given abilities. I definitely wouldn’t classify him as a baller here as opposed to a good player that “could’ve” been great.Shaq was always out of shape, and dominate the NBA. Some people are are that talented. Don't knock the man for it. He balled when he was here. Everyone doesn't have that workout warrior in them. He was in football shape, that's all that matters.
he's too insecure.Heard the same thing on a number of youtube channels. I know footballville has mentioned it a few times.
Would explain why we see no former players on the sidelines.Rumor has it that Manny hasn’t been so open to all the older players coming back. Just select few
The old players aren’t allowed around the new ones. He’s write you no.
You realize that former players haven’t been allowed since Richt left, right? They busted their asses, but a lot of them haven't had an original idea in 20 years either. That's the problem.
