Really got to see how pff grade players, I thought Quarterman outplayed Pinckney last year yet he’s rated so much higher than him? They were talking about the top 5 edge defenders in the acc and didn’t even list Jon garvin.

Martell, Hill, Nnoruka, Bolden, Osborn, Phillips, Martin are here because Manny cracked the code of the transfer portal before anyone.

But yes, getting Thomas, Shaq, Pinckney to return in 2019 was impressive.

I agree completely regarding the portal. However, as it relates specifically to this upcoming season, I think Shaq and Pickney are more important.
 
I think Pinckney is aiming for a monster season this year. Shaq and he should both produce great years, especially with a young secondary that will be starting. Also think Finley/Gilbertson combo will be deadly in the Striker role, leading Miami to another Top 10 defensive ranking.

They're two of about a dozen players who have been here since 2016, so you're probably right.

Exactly. Your point speaks to their game experience. Now add in the fact that our numbers are criminally low at linebacker. Then also add in the fact that they are the leaders, not just on the defense, but the entire team.
 
Really want to see pink and shaq transform they bodies this year. Think both can reach another level

I personally didn't have any issue with his weight last year. Pickney is a gamer! I would have liked to see him be more explosive, but that has nothing to do with his size because you can be bulky and not lose any explosiveness. Gus didn't have them doing any type of workouts that focused on explosiveness. I think that's where Feeley is going to make a major difference.

Or was it Shaq and Pickney not listening to the likes of Petey. They wouldnt have been drafted till mid day saturday at best. Glad they came back cause Miami would have been fcked. Hope they play good so they can get drafted on the second day

Whatever they use their algorithm must heavily favor "splash plays" like turnovers that Pink seems to get a lot of

Shaq is your consistent force in the middle that cleans up everything... I dont think of him when I need a big splash play like pink did reading and jumping that little TE tunnel route against FSU that turned the game around when we needed it
