Phil Steele national position rankings (Miami)

I like Clemson, just not as a top 3-4 team. If I was doing a preseason top 25, I would go something like:

1.) Texas
2.) Penn State
3.) Oregon
4.) Notre Dame
5.) UGA
6.) Ohio State
7.) Clemson
8.) LSU
9.) South Carolina
10.) Arizona State
11.) Miami
12.) Indiana
13.) Alabama
14.) Illinois
15.) OU
16.) SMU
17.) Iowa State
18.) Ole Miss
19.) Louisville
20.) Georgia Tech
21.) Florida
22.) BYU
23.) Texas A&M
24.) Pittsburgh

Ah, I understand.

I recently saw this video where a guy was asking people if they went 2 days without eating if they thought they would be hungry or not. Certain people were not capable of processing the question. They would insist they had eaten and were not hungry. The hypothetical was not possible for them. Their brain won't allow it.

I think this is what we're seing here with your explanation about the preseason.

Decent list, thanks. Watching some of the sports talk and have noticed a complete lack Miami chatter, nationally. Especially since the season opener is against ND, everyone’s next NC winner. Would be a real kick to the b**ls for the talking heads, when we open a Can of WhoopA** on 8/31. Or, to put it parochial terms they’re the little alter boys and we’re big D**k, drunken Father O’Shaunnesy. Same result. Some gets butt hurt. Just sayin’ Go Canes🙌🏽#CANESNATIONLIFER.
 
Clemson so overrated. They got smacked by uga last year.Got smacked in the playoffs by texas. It’s one thing to lose but they didn’t even look like they were close to those teams. Now all of a sudden they getting championship hype. We gone see game 1 vs lsu

And to add, they dodged all the other competitive ACC Teams. Didn’t play us, Syracuse, GT, etc.

If Carson Beck can be what he was two seasons ago, this will elevate the whole team.Overall, this is a team that should contend for a birth in the ACC title game. Clemson is loaded this season on both sides of the ball. I expect them to be there. But Cristobal has put together a solid team, overall, regardless

Him returning to 23 level is dependent on how we run the ball and if the tight end room steps up.

Absolutley, I think we are more talented. Heatherman is the key, if hes who we think he is I see a jump...

I don't really think we have proven production at rb. BUT I think we have an immensely talented room(much like our te room) both rooms however are reliant for their production on the strength of our team which is oline. Luckily any questions we have on offense are diminished to say the least by that same strength. As long as Beck stays healthy our oline will carry us through most tough times.

I agree. I think lyle and Pringle can be fantastic but arent proven. that being said, our OL can open up huge holes so hot makes life easier.

I actually think we have a much more talented team over all this year than last but it's unproven.

Lyle isnt proven? What is your definition of proven then? Buddy ran for 7 ypc last year.

Offensive line . Name 6 better! Andrew from Vegas K9 from Banner days. Boxing guy too.
 
I think LB and DL are too high and DB is too low. I’m also not sure what to make out of our WR room. Can’t say too high or too low because it’s all potential. QB is about right, can make an argument to move a couple of spots in either direction. Lastly, I think we have the horses to win ten but just how good we are will be determined by our DTs.
