Peyton Manning, Ed Reed

bill Belichick has told him he is the greatest to ever play.

Tom Brady used to write reminders on his wrists "find 20!"

He's the best S to ever play. Guy had magical instincts and was a magnet for the ball.

As far as coaching, it usually doesn't work. Ed was the most instinctive Safety in history. It's hard to pass instincts on through coaching. And usually those type of players make poor coaches.

He also has a weird ability to prep and diagnose. Those can be passed on. If he's a patient guy (which I've heard he is), he won't imagine that his players see the same things he does or have the same ability. Michael Jordan's biggest downfall as a "tutor" of younger players has been known to be a complete lack of patience and lack of self-awareness. Everyone who knows Ed understands him to be a genuinely humble and aware guy when it comes to helping others.

Who knows. Maybe he just wants to relax. The guy has put his body through sheer ****.

Sean is still the GOAT

As much as I love 26, 2-zero e. Reed Boi!!!! Is the greatest college or NFL safety of all time. Not even close. ST was not on the same level mentally as Reed.

The scary thing is the Sean was hitting that peak in his last season...

2-0 E Reed boy, The best DB boy, Knock you off yo FEET boy!

The 01 Canes had the best free safety ever on their roster, and even he might not have been the greatest overall safety on the roster

Ed Reed can help our team in some capacity. No doubt. Even as an outside consultant. He's watched more film than Doritos, Golden, and Coley combined.

Spot on! I remember Magic Johnson being the same way during his brief stent as a coach with LA.
