I wasn't speaking to the Golden firing or the recruiting commitments. But it was READILY apparent, that NO ONE on the UM side had any connections/sources once the old staff was canned. Look at all the rumors on the coaching search for evidence. Go back and check the timeline. The Richt hire was confirmed by a UGA poster (who had previously been right on the Richt firing) on their board and Pete took it and ran with it and put it out on twitter. Good for him, but saying he BROKE the story is disingenuous.

Pete wasn't relying on coaching sources for the Golden firing or the Richt hiring. That's above their heads.

I know who he was talking to. And those sources, while not involved in the day-to-day recruiting grind, are as strong as ever.

If I want to ready crazy rumors I'll go to Ferman, but I like accurate ***** so I'll go with Pete. If he has something concrete he will report it

Let it go. It makes it worse when you are super defensive and resort to calling out Ferman. It also seems like you are making excuses.

When Pete has solid information he will let us know. Speculation and gossip are not good for Pete or the Board. Done.
 
The **** it's not. Without speculation and gossip this board is one post every few months and will quickly die.

How about a weekly post called "the gossip" where you guys can talk about some of the barbershop stories going on behind the scenes whether ridiculous or not? This is where all the crazy rumors can be dropped with no accountability. For entertainment purposes only if you will, and not to be confused with "The Work" which could continue to be your more serious and legitimate information.

I personally like hearing the barbershop gossip, knowing **** well that a lot of it is fluff. Still gives us something to talk about, let the readers decide what to do with that info. We get on them a lot but the boards wouldn't be nearly as entertaining without guys like Vern and Geo dropping sweet nothings for our reading pleasure.

Ok, this one was my bad. I went full Bill Young and asked Pete to bring the house on the Bruce news and we got beat deep.

Get him off the field, DMoney. Coach him up.
