Any chance you can find out Bruce's or other recruits reaction to Coach McCelwains tirade towards Kelvin Taylor?

Lulz. Guy certainly doesn't look like he has that in him. Guy looks like a goober.

Did sam bruce like his buddy jordan scarlett riding the bench on the first meaningful game of the season. Even tho its the right choice because he was garbage in the other games

What the **** is this ****? McElwain is a loser but do you want a nice guy as a coach?

Great players want to play for savage coaches. Rule number 1: Win, no one gives a **** about being a nice guy

But NOBODY wants to play for a loser that's a wannabe savage loudmouth. That's what Horsetoof Mac will prove to be- a worse version of Muscorch.

The late, great Jerome Brown would have DDT'd his *** and then done the throat slash as he stood over his body...lol.

How I long for the days where our U played like savages.

As someone from an earlier era of coaching norms, when cell phone cameras weren't a thing and feelings and sensitivity were not part of the equation when considering success, this isn't appalling to me at all frankly.

Could he have toned it down a bit, sure. But I don't think it is as big a deal as some made it out to be.

Agree. If I'm a coach, don't want prima donna showboats.

Our program was built on the backs of prima Donna showboats

Back then you could be a show boat.

But it's also because of our show boats that you can't do that anymore without incurring 15 yard penalties.

What I find funny is that they got rid of Muschamp and it looks like they got his twin brother to be their new coach.

Stuff like this has zero impact on recruiting. People here want to reach and hope that this makes Bruce think twice about going there but on the flip side, some kids like to see fire in a coach like this. This is mindless message board fodder.

Obviously it left a big impact on Sam Bruce as he is apparently traveling all the way up to Gainesville for like the 5th time this weekend just to tell McElwain that he does not approve of those tirades.

Actually, I watched JJ take Jerome, RIP, to the ground at Greentree, grab in his grill, get in his face and chew his out. I'm, not taking anything from Jerome, JJ was just that much a bad *** and winner. I remember Playmaker saying something like "NOBODY messes with Coach's dew, man. No, no, no." Csonka was scared to death of Shula. Assistant coaches were scared of Butch. Fear is great motivator, but nobody is afraid of a loser.

lol @ that being a tirade to s.fla kids.

realize that is exactly how ALLL south florida kids are coached since pee wee /optomist. That type of stuff doesnt even bother them....

Sure wish our head man had real fire.....he's just happy to be here imo.
