This is my 2nd forced post of the year.

Yesterday I heard one Pete state we need to lower our expectations after the loss. Meaning not this season for every season going forward.

How about no. Vandy and IU were cesspool programs for years. Worse than our worst years.

If Mario cant win in November find someone who can.

And BTW we are averaging 8.5 penalties per game in P5 games. This is higher than in 2022 by 1 penalty in P5 games and those were Mannys players with far less talent.

Mario is coaching not to lose. He is not coaching to win.

His pound the other team has made his own team punch drunk. Want evidence. Fletcher is hurt, Messidor is hurt, Bain is hurt, Daniels is hurt and Toney was hobbling off. Your over used players are getting hurt.

I think/hope Pete realizes that was a stupid comment.The moment fans lower expectations they stop donations,they stop buying tickets,wasting their time watching his podcasts and visiting the site.Only reason we do it is because we have hope.
 
I’m starting to get deeply concerned about the people that run this website. Over the past two years, since Danny decided to begin creating weekly and then daily content, it’s become more of a Clickbait space. The podcasts are very repetitive in terms of what they talk about but they get the clicks and the attention and the ad revenue continues to come in and that’s a good thing for them. And I understand, everyone needs to make money.

But this community was built on honesty, transparency, and boldness. If I wanted to go to a regional level ESPN website or rivals, then I would go there. I’ll come here for truth.

I love Danny to pieces, but it seems like if he is a lost soul at this point. It seems that he is way too close to the university and has some type of handshake deal that allows him to have pretty good access as long as he does not criticize the team out loud or any of the players out loud. That has become painfully clear.

Pete, on the other hand, as far more honest, transparent, and bold. He’s the only one that has the guts to criticize the team and the staff, along with Mike Ryan Felipe Louise Smithson Ruiz.

This has nothing to do with yesterday’s loss, it has to do with lack of perspective and balance. Unless things change relatively soon, I will not be listening to their podcast, and I just peruse the site for the user content only. Because right now the only ones that are being honest and truthful are the users.

I think they’re trying to protect the website, and the podcast listens, because it brings ad revenue.

Remember, the people that bring the money to this website and it’s content creators is us. We are the customer, and we’re the ones that can decide what we want to listen to and not listen to. And I recommend that people demand change. If I want to listen to state media, I would go to the universities YouTube channel.

Manage our expectations is translation for “we have a dumb coach who doesn’t change and it’s gonna cost us 2-3 games per year. Just be happy with the talent acquisition.”

I’ll also add that many on here acknowledged this when Mario was hired. He’ll get us straight for talent acquisition but he has a ceiling as a coach. The silver lining is that he’ll leave the next coach plenty of talent to win.
 
Pete is absolutely correct. Mario is a poor man’s mark richt and the expectation should be 8-10 wins a year with him. Maybe if we get extremely lucky and field 01 level roster we get to 11 wins.

Pete was/is spot on. The funny thing is many of you ***** about him “being too negative”
 
I won’t kill Pete for his “in the moment” comment because half the people on here say they are done with Mario and won’t renew season tickets only to do it every year for the last 4 years. Like many of us, we have no clue what the solution is. None. So you just throw your hands up and just say maybe we are just a 8-10 win program. I get it. I don’t agree. But I get the frustration. It’s Nov 2nd and a once promising season is over. Smh. Unbelievable.
 
I think what he was saying is that we’ve not done **** in 20+, why do we think we’re great all of a sudden Finish a season then we can be back. Maybe I misinterpreted it.

Lol you actually sat down at a keyboard and typed out a thought of how a contributing correspondent of a message board/podcast is “part of the problem”. Pete is the one that generally shoots it straight. However, to entertain your stupidity, If there’s anyone that needs to be tarred and feathered, it’s Mr. State Media mouthpiece, D$. The lies told about guys like Lofton, this OL and Lyle are quite frankly the most asinine things I’ve ever heard based on the season’s body of work.

The offensive scheme is predicated on long sustained drives. That scheme cannot commit penalties, give up sacks or commit turnovers. As long as we are in the ACC we will never get a call. These refs should be investigated with the along with the NBA.

Open up the offense, score more points, rest starters after big lead is secured and start to develop young guys with meaningful reps.

Wish Mario would acquire talent and turn the game over to his coordinators.

Tired of this 1970’s BIG10 mentality. We have better talent than EVERYONE on the 2025 schedule. USE it.
