Personal Stories: Linebackers TAC and Corey Flagg

Something's tellin' me Flagg is gonna be a guy that just flat out gets it done. We all love freak athletes but the game is called football not athlete. My gut, what I've seen on film & the opinion on guys with their boots on the H-Town ground like @SouthParkCane leads me to believe he's gonna be a factor for us...
I’m not saying he’ll be our next superstar linebacker but I am saying when guys like him are on your team good things follow. All he does is win. He knows his limitations so he’s a film junkie.. the kid just gets it done.

My favorite story from his high school career came from his junior year against Katy. He was hurt and could only play something like every other series. Katy ran the ball downhill every play he was out. Everytime he checked in they changed personal and wouldn’t even attempt a run. And when they did pass it was all vertical. They actively avoided him

Where have you had it? Depending on what part of Texas it switches up
Different parts... Main cities I’ve been in Texas are Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. I can’t remember specifically where I had barbecue in every one of those cities

Definitely the Dallas stuff was sweet. There was a place in Austin, I can’t remember the name of it right now, was a lot of slow smoked stuff and had some dry rub that I liked. I don’t know if I ever ate barbecue in San Antonio but they have a lot good food in that town. Mostly, I remember a lot of sweet barbecue sauce type places

Camden is no joke.
Which is why I'm rooting for this young bull. Camden kids get criminally underrated. There's a list of college ballers and NFL players from the city. My wife's little cousin got murdered out there last night. These kids aren't taking their chances for granted. Wild thing about the game shooting story is that Camden was away, in Pleasantville outside Atlantic City. I don't think anything like that has happened during a football game in Camden.

The major cities usually are a little bit sweeter but college station and the surrounding areas all believe in dry rubs with a little kick. East Texas generally has the better bbq tho

Rudy's is a Texas institution.

I agree with you. Instincts are going to take him a long way.

Incredible stories for both young men. It’s a shame they’re burdened with all that on their shoulders especially at that age. Here’s hoping nothing but the best for both, and hopefully getting their degree in a passionate program they love outside of football.

Texas BBQ??? U sure u don’t mean KC BBQ or SC BBQ? Texas tends to be more smoke/mesquite not sweet

In Austin I had some low slow smoked dry rub, but other places like esp Dallas used too much sweet bbq sauce. But I think it varies in different areas of Texas. That’s just been my experience. My bias is towards Memphis or Carolina type bbq. Just not a big fan of sweet bbq sauce of any kind.

You’re going to the wrong spots if you’re eating sweet bbq in Texas.

We Def have that in common; me either. I’m just wondering if a transplant from somewhere else tried to give their spin on BBQ who happens to live in TX.
