All of fall practice and 2 games to get ready for FSU. Unlike Kayaa vs Lville, N'kosi will face a top 5 defense in practice all of fall camp. He has capable, proven weapons at the skill positions. The o-line is a question, but his feet give us an emergency hatch on third down/broken plays. The worst part of the FSU game is how much pressure is on Miami to win. Win and the rest of the schedule has very few land mines. Lose? They will start to hear the negativity. Improv qb's gave fsu fits. Let's hope that continues.

Jackson killed them last year for Louisville. Not saying Perry is Jackson, of course, but I could see him having a measure of the success Jackson had by attacking then in a similar way. Biggest thing in that game is our defense will keep us right there with them all game, even if Perry makes a few mistakes

Starting a true freshman @ FSU has disaster written all over it.

So did having Kirby freaking Freeman taking snaps but we got the W. Y'all better get this soft mentality out your system before the season starts. Grow a pair and rock with this U.

Lamar Jackson as a true frosh is a better comparison than Lamar Jackson the sophomore, Heisman Trophy winning QB. With that said, Perry doesn't remind me of Lamar Jackson.

Freeman only had 11 attempts and managed two interceptions before getting benched against an FSU team that finished 7-6. Hope that comparison wasn't meant to be comforting

This is exactly what Pete and DMoney have been saying for the last couple months. Other than the FSU game, the first half of our schedule is very favorable. And as you alluded to, we should have a top notch defense and weapons all over the place. If you were going to start a freshman at QB the time is right.

Starting a Senior (Harris), Senior (Morris), and a Sophmore (Kaaya) the last 3 trips to Tallahassee didn't seem to work out for us well either. If Perry turns out to be the best option, then he's the best option, and recent history at Doak says that he can't do worse than the upperclassmen that all came away with L's over the last few years.

I think relying on a kid not even on campus yet is a big risk. Sure his upside is limitless but he still has to prove himself. If I am Rick you have your starter already settled going into fall. Sheriffs is probably that guy and if Perry beats him out on the field great. If not worst case Perry just needs more reps and let it come to him. You don't want to shell shock the kid and ruin his confidence right out of the gate.

Again if Perry wins the job in the fall then start him . However you must assume that your starter has already taken reps. Again Rick can go to the bullpen at anytime should Sheriffs faulter.

Whoever wins the job, it will be on the staff to call the game plan that best gives us a chance to win. We cant go in there thinking we can blow them out. Just keep it REAL SIMPLE. Move the chains gradually, eat up time, and win the field position battle. Your D and ST will keep you in it. Avoid mistakes by keeping the game simple. Attack short and underneath/middle. Keep him away from pressure, and allow him to just put the ball in all the playmakers hands. The QB is going to be flooded with talent and speed around him. Just call the game that allows him to deliver the ball consistently.

FSwho starting a Freshman QB against us was pretty successful for those dicks, no reason we can't have the same success if Perri is as talented.
