Per Mr.Ivins

Yeah, I don't buy Zip coming here. At all. Ivins is good, but I'm just quite frankly not buying the level of positivity he's putting out. He's just trying to keep people interested (clicks) at this point. Just my honest opinion, I could be wrong.

Even with this silver lining feeling to things... our offense is putrid, our OLine sucks, and we have no viable prospects at QB and our OL class is a joke. In other words, best case scenario, we are completely burning an entire year on the field and from a recruiting perspective. Best case scenario.

At a minimum, we cannot act fast enough when that clock hits all zero's come Saturday to demote or fire Jon and fire Searles and announce our search for a new OC.
Gotta add demote Thomas brown to save money becuase I really don’t think he can handle anything outside of rbs ... the money you save from firing searles, demoting jr and brown you can pool to spending on an avg oline coach (miles better than searles) and a oc/qb coach that actually quality?to be one at Miami.

Bafffles me that Solomon was wavering before .. guess he’s not now ? But defense recruiting should not take a hit what so ever that is inexcusable

Bring in an oline coach with his own recruits

So our issues that have effected our play on the field (QB mishandling, Offensive Line/Searles) are the same issues in recruiting

Richt & Jon Richt mishandling QB recruiting to the fullest

Searles getting dominated and is lost on the trail just like his O-Line

CMR better get rid of Searles and hire an OC asap

All of this.

Aside from the oline situation the rest is good news, we don’t need a QB out of high school this class need to see how NKosi Weldon and Jarren continue to develop and also create some separation between them and the next QB recruit that comes in. Kelly Bryant is a win win if he comes.

Agree

SR. Bryant
RS So. Perry
RS So. Weldon
RS Fr. Williams

We can salvage this class by beating Pitt, getting a decent bowl game, winning that bowl game, and hiring an OC. The first three need to happen and the last piece seems like wishful thinking but I do think CMR will get a lot of heat this off season from the Board. If we can get some momentum, this class should be top 15/20. I'll take that for how poor our season has been.

Hows that going to work when most kids will be signed by Dec 21st?

Click 👏Bait 👏. I have followed this **** long enough I'll break it down for you.

We are using the same recruiting tactic we used last year. We get a bunch of our recruits to commit before the season and stay on the few remaining targets we have.

The board stays small because our staff is lazy or delusional (I'm not sure which). We have one big recruiting weekend during the year. We have one big recruiting weekend after the season for all our commits.

Last year we had a good season and were able to hang on to everyone and most signed early. We completely mailed it in after that. We kept after a few big name local targets mostly just to appease the fan base. It was a disappointment considering we have 10 staff that should have been recruiting and finished with only Miller and Ezzard (also hung on to Silvera) on signing day, I believe?

This season has been a complete disaster. So the lazy recruiting style is beginning to show its flaws. We didn't have an elite class to begin with and the on-field problems have caused some to decommit or look at other options. We didn't plan for that at all, so now we are scrambling to circle back to Plan B kids we've been ignoring or targeting kids committed to lower level P5 schools like Wake Forest.

Kids we were favored for/Targeting have started to move on but because we haven't been targeting anyone else we're feeding Ivins bull**** so people believe we are still in the mix for the big names. We are not. But the staff hopes this will slow down the negativity from the fanbase.

My gut feeling is we don't land any of the big name targets left on the board. We have a hard enough time competing with the bags when we are winning. It'll be **** near impossible with a season like this. I'm expecting to lose a couple more commits and we'll have to resort to a Golden like finish.

By reading the beginning I already know your wrong and won’t read the rest. Last year our best players committed before the season. Brevin, Silvera, Pope, Linguard, Davis, frierson, Hightower, Wiggins, Rousseau, blades I meanjust off the top of my head those names come to mind of guy who were committed before the season. They didn’t care whether we did good or not they wanted to be canes.

I said that. Moron. You're blind to what's happening around you if you think a bad season wouldn't have caused a few of them to look around. Winning matters when you arent elite or paying kids.

We finished 0-3 idiot! Lost to PITT embarrassed by Wisconsin at home and then anihhilated by Clemson in the championship game and didn’t loose a single commitment! ****head

I shouldn't have used the word moron. My bad for making this a name calling disagreement. I viewed your original post as ignorant. It really wasnt that bad. But I can't agree with you at all and you have the order of our losses wrong but whatever.

We had a 10 win season, destroyed ND with college gameday in town and played in our first major bowl game in forever. This season we're 6-5... I'm not sure what you're even arguing? That last year's class was full of these "Canes in their blood" types that wouldn't care if we sucked? If you believe that you're wrong imo.

Alright man all is good just a healthy discussion didn’t like the word moron but we have all called others names on here so it’s cool. I get what your saying I just disagree with recruiting being that linenar. I get that the hype last year was real but if that’s what affects recruiting we woulda had a bunch of 2019 guys all over us then too. That didn’t happen. I just feel like this staff messed up with their overconfidence in Landing elite kids but I don’t feel that winning or loosing is as much of a factor as it’s made out to be these days.
