Penalties

For those who attended practice this week, have there been any repercussions for the players who committed major penalties in the game? Like Samson, Mauigoa, etc should be running 50 x 100 yard sprints for all the penalties they committed. I'm sure that'll get them to stop.
We’re not looking to field a track team. Playing time is what hurts, so put them on the bench for a play or two.

A few comments:
Our OL has been consistently getting called for false starts when DL stem (move laterally).
1. This is something that can be practiced to make sure our OL isn't.
2. WE don't stem which is legal and does cause false starts. Wouldn't it be nice to have a DL that stems so we can practice against it AND try to draw penalties?

For the personal fouls on Cici and Toney.
1. We need to show more control to make sure we aren't returning fire.
2. We have had multiple kids that should have FLOPPED like the UL kids. Trader getting dragged by his face mask... figure out a way to get that helmet off and in the ND kids hands. One UL kid slapped the helmet of a UM player the play after Toney's foul, fall down! You know **** well the kid CiCi push wasn't pushed hard enough to fall down. Force the Refs to make calls!

It is very frustrating that Mario literally never punishes players for lack of discipline on the field.

- We consistently double our opponents up in penalties and/or penalty yards in a game? Who cares. Who cares if we been like 80th or worse in penalties every year under Mario, what does that matter! It's not like their entire offensive philosphy hinges on not losing a yard on a play because they can't overcome being behind the sticks... Of course none of our Olineman are ever going to be punished for their mistakes. Pay no attention to the fact McCoy hasn't been very good, and Samson should probably be starting regardless. Pay no attention to Brockermyer almost singlehandedly trying to lose us a game. Cici is a guarantee to get 1 penalty per game. Anez Cooper has been the biggest dissapointment for a 4 year oline starter there is imo...

- Every time one of our RBs fumbles, they are never taken out and punished for the remainder of a drive/game. Literally this has happened over a handful of times where one of our RBs will fumble and then get right back in the following drive - which actually almost seems blatantly on purpose given how much the past 2 years we have rotated RBs in and out - usually BY DRIVE!. Just insanity. Look what happened in the Louisville game when Brown fumbled? And that was even after he had been playing Excellent all day. But you know what a RB fumbling is unacceptable. What happens when we fumble? The coaches simply dont give a ****, putting them right back on the field as if it didn't matter. smfh.

- This past game was one of the worst miss tackle performances possible and it had major consequences. Yet will the older LBs who were responsible, wes - who has been responsible for countless negative plays the past 3 years - ever going to get punished? Or is he going to be the starting LB again? What about Toure who played like absolute crap? Why can't Aguirre get the start. **** I don't think Smith is very good but give him the start too. He's hasn't made these critical mistakes. Why has Kellen Wiley gotten 0 snaps since USF?

Which is a good place to discuss the idiotic snap counts:
- Beaman has been out there on like 90% of snaps, basically being useless. Lofton has made critical mistakes. Yet we never see any rotation there even thought the 2 freshman TEs we have are problably the top 2 guys long-term.

- The Dline as a whole is getting basically no rotation. They're treating these games like we don't have 6 more games to go. If we don't get Scott more snaps, how can we expect him to hold up in an eventual Playoff? If we don't get more rotation at EDGE why can we count on those guys to be ready?

- Scott has been great for the most part but he's missed a **** load of tackles too. Why is he the one guy that literally has never been subbed out? Why is nobody else getting ANY nickel reps? start working a guy in a few plays every 2-3 drives...

Do you guys remember Jacoby George last year. Half of the time I saw him taunting and doing dumb ish. I wanted to slap some sense into that young man. I don't even see Mario going off on players on the sideline anymore. Mario is on cruise control. That 8 or 9 million annual salary is guaranteed so no real sense of urgency to change anything

Bell would never play. He gets called every game
Bell False start soo much, ref didnt even call it on pick #3 fro Beck. The 4th down critical play, AT HOME.. He had like 3 false starts ALONE..

EVERY drive seemed to have a penalty by the offense.. We had to have like 3, 4 drives in a row with some type of penalty and the one kickoff we took out of endzone was penalized also.. :snoopfacepalm:

It baffles me that for a coach that preaches discipline and mental toughness like Mario, his teams are constantly penalized.
