Pelini out

Ed Orgeron and Bo Pellini on the same sideline. No one could have ever predicted that wouldn’t work.

Orgeron is one season away from fūck it, I’ll just urinate in my khakis on the sidelines.

Pellini is one more tantrum away from a carotid blowout.

What a great duo.

When you have taxpayer money and absconded hospital funds to burn, it’s all good I guess.

LSU's liability for parting ways with Pellini-

Pelini's contract was set to run from Jan. 23, 2020, to March 31, 2023. The contract included a base salary of $500,000 with a supplemental compensation of $1.8 million per year.

Such a payment puts Pelini near the top of the highest-paid assistant in the nation, just below Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, who recently signed a new $2.5 million-per-year deal.

Being fired without cause in his first year would mean LSU owes him close to $6.9 million. If the firing came in his second year, the numbers drops to around $4.6 million.

If Pelini had left LSU for any FBS head coaching position or a coaching position in the NFL, he would not owe money to LSU. He would owe LSU 100-percent of his remaining contract if Pelini left for any Southeastern Conference job other than head coach, and if he left for any FBS non-head coach job, he would owe LSU $1.15 million.

Rumors are that LSU gave Orgeron $5 million to make staffing changes. Pellini's buyout will absorb most of that. Shifting of staff to other positions of responsibility is expected. Reported late last night LSU and Pellini came to an agreement on a lump sum payment.

Ed Orgeron is their HC. He replaced replaced Les Miles.

Both served as inspiration for characters in The Water Boy.
Dude stop reaching, it’s old already! Anyone with eyes knows LSU from top to bottom is serious about winning. They’ve won 3 national championships in the last 17 years and played for 4 of them. How many national championships have we won in the last 17 years? Shoot, forget about winning, how many have we Atleast played for in the last 17 years? I’ll hang up and listen. Smh 🙄

They’ll pay more in buyouts over 3 years than our entire football operation spends in a year. They’re at close to $30 million with miles and pelini and are gonna owe their current coach about that much when they **** can him next year.

Dropping bags and throwing money at terrible coaches doesn’t make you serious about winning, it makes you stupid.

Stupid huh? Ok how stupid was it when they won the national title last year? How stupid was it when they played for the national title in 2011? How stupid was it that they won the national title in 2007? If that’s what we call stupid these days then I sure wish Suntan U started getting “stupid” again in a football way instead of the current state of “E before the W” stupid. Smh

They caught lightning in a bottle with Joe Burrow. Otherwise this program is a disaster. Consistent top three recruiting classes wasted every year.

they are the most underachieving program in all of college football, except for maybe Georgia.

I understand your points.

But rotating between "smart" decisions, "stupid" decisions, and "getting lucky" doesn't make LSU geniuses...

Both points are right. They do underachieve and caught lightning in a bottle but they also have titles recently and they’re relevant. We’re not.

You can be serious about winning … and not know how to do it — or be ready for it.

Orgeron … has shown magician like ability as HC at LSU. He follows up every **** move with a job saving head scratching move that looks like genius. Remember when he fired his OC? Remember when all his QBs left because of Burrows? Remember when the ‘20 Florida game was supposed to end his job? And he’s not especially patient when things don’t work. Why? Because they care about winning at LSU and he can’t. This in one of the most impoverished states in the Union.

LSU isn’t a bad team, they just have a bad record from playing an all SEC schedule in the year after a historic team/COVID opt outs. I’d take every LSU team member and recruit over every Miami team member and recruit in a straight up trade.

Underachieving?! Lmao well if catching lighting in a bottle and winning a national title last year and two other ones in the last 17 years is underachieving, then what the **** do you call us? What is Suntan U which hasn’t even won our **** conference in the last 17 seasons? Oh and those top three recurring classes also helped them win that national title regardless if you want to believe it or not. It’s wasn’t all Joe burrow by himself. Smh Take away all those top receivers and running backs and it’s no record breaking offense and national title. Take away all those top defensive backs LSU had and it looks like Miami’s defensive backfield which also equals no national title. That’s how you win In CFB incase you didn’t realize that, you stack classes till it all comes together for a great season. How you don’t get this is beyond me? It’s almost like you’re denying the invention of the wheel, in hopes of providing cover for the crystal clear failures of Suntan U. 🙄

This is exactly what I’m trying to say but you’ve said it far better. They’re serious about winning because they’ll throw money out there to buy coaches and/or make mistakes go away. They’re just not as good at it as some others.
