Do you think LSU fans are happy right now with their coaches? Are they OK with being 5-5? Do they feel that the talent they consistently get is playing up to their standards? They have vastly underachieved relative to their talent. They should, given the average talent on hand be the second best program in the nation. Maybe you could argue third behind Bama and OSU. But they’re not.

Larry Coker averaged 10 wins a season at Miami back when they only played 11 game seasons and didn’t have conference championship games to add to their win totals. He won a national championship and played for another. Given the talent on hand, I would say he underachieved.

Think LSU fans are very happy they won the national title last year and the heisman and have an argument as possibly by the numbers the greatest team to ever play the game! I also think they acknowledge the stacked deck that was playing against them this years as they were behind the 8 ball from the start with all the opt outs of their top players and early entrants into the draft. But one thing I can guarantee you is based on what i saw from that freshman QB and there continued top ranked recruting classes they’ll be back competing again During the next few years for a title. Would love to be able to say the same thing about Suntan U. Smh

It's a relevant point when you realize that LSU got very lucky with a Portal QB for 2 years, and that, by comparison, all the money they've spent on other things has not really been the best use of money (except for Joe Brady for 1 year).

Yes but again, they won! And that’s all that matters, everything else is just banter. I don’t care what it takes, if it takes getting lucky in the portal so be it, If it takes finding a joe Brady to sustain it so be it! For every team that’s won a title it’s taken a little bit of luck too and that’s a fact. And make no mistakes about it, that depleted 53 man team and freshman QB that just beat UF will be back contending for titles next year while we’re stuck playing the “what if” game. Smh

We don’t have that kind of money to burn. Not even close. No chance Miami could burn money like LSU. It is one thing to justifiably criticize decision making, hiring, etc. it’s beyond unrealistic to hold up passed out drunk profligate spenders as beacons or examples. You should know that better than anyone. Miami is literally incapable of doing what LSU does monetarily.
