Gonna be hilarious when this clown has to scapegoat someone after this season and it ends up being Ol' Danny Miaz. Last Saturday was probably the beginning of the end of his defense actually looking good as there's obviously a shelflife of effectiveness with his schemes.

That said, I'll always contend that Franklin is a super corch in relation to what he's portrayed as by the national media that almost deems him "elite".

Having lived in PA as long as I had to I obviously have a lot of friends that are psu fans, and by fans I mean straight up fanatics. I warned them about Manny when they hired him yet they remained excited and thought he was going to give them a downhill aggressive defense to challenge the big boys. They got their rude awakening last weekend and none of them will return my texts.......

Exactly. I'm in the same situation as you with some friends and a lot of family. They magically went radio silent last weekend after incessantly claiming that Diaz only failed here due to some macro institutional rot or something and that their program was completely different and he'd assuredly thrive in their perceived utopia.
 
This seems to be a fascinating situation in the making. The way James Franklin and the media have hyped Manny up as a DC hire will make it harder for PSU to fire Manny. I think it will take until the end of 2023 at a minimum. They still have to go through the, "Manny needs his own recruits to fit his system" phase. lol
