Paul Williams to Illinois

Worked with Cubit '05 at WMU. I played there that year. He got laughed at a lot while coaching. Brings back memories.

Go on...

When he would get ****ed and start yelling at the DBs and his cheeks would fill up with ear and sound similar to Donald Duck the cartoon character. Guys like Louis Delmas (MIA) and EJ Biggers (PHI) would just be clowning his *** and he would do nothing. So I know how things had to be for him at UM. Good luck to dude though.

Arguably was our worst coach other than the two fat boys. Was he responsible for one recruit? I don't remember hearing his name much from recruits.

Say what you want about the Big 10 but they seem to have a heart for the less fortunate among us.

Lol who would have thought Paul Williams would be the first one to get a job

Makes perfect sense, IMO.

He's the guy who needed to work the hardest on getting another job ... I suspect he's done the least amount of prep work for this bowl game of any of our staff guys.

And that Illinois job is the most tenuous in the country! The HC only has a 2-year deal, and they don't have an AD.

The fact that Williams is going there is further indictment on his prospects for other jobs ...

You know what the acting AD said about the "hiring" of Cubit...he said..."It's NOT Ideal"...hahahahaha
That Illinois program is just awful but it's actually not a bad landing position for Williams. If he can just show "something" at all in the Big Ten, it's a legit resume line for his next gig.

I feel so bad for illini fans lmao, but this is a sign of relief, Christmas came early good for Williams

Paul Williams can NOT recruit but somehow he had amassed a talented group of dbs. Don't even know how it happened but I'll give credit when it's due, he did coach the best on the defensive side of the ball out of all of those coaches. Miami might have had the most talented secondary group in the acc this year so maybe that had a lot to do with the improved play
