He was ****ed off when Oklahoma and Texas announced they were leaving the Big 12. I think he’s been wanting to leave for a while, low key. He wants to play big boy football, not be relegated back to whatever the Big 12 is about to become

He’s an elite defensive coach and his style would work well at Miami IMO. Question for him is can he recruit and does he still have the fire and drive he had 10 years ago

Diaz basically stole Pattersons defensive scheme, only he runs it much, much worse.

If there is only one reason to win out it’s because it makes this team attractive to coaching candidates. Miami went 8-4 with many freshmen and one of those is a great QB, despite the coaching shortcomings.

I like Patterson a lot still, but I want an offense minded coach.

I want any head coach that tells the OC, "Do whatever you can to score as much as you can and I'll make sure the D gives up less." The last thing I want is a head coach that wants his D protected by an O that chews up clock.

If by conservative you mean led until very recently by a literal cuck who allowed his family to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual salaries among other conflicts of interest, then yeah, it’s more conservative than TCU.

Most Christian is debatable but you’re right about the type of school it is. Freeze seems to have kept his nose clean and done a helluva job there.
