There can be no in between. Either we finish 6-6 or worse and Golden is fired, or we finish 10-2 and win the coastal and play in the ACCCG. In the first scenario Golden is gone right after the last game and in the second scenario most of us are (happily?) eating crow.
To be honest, we could out talent all of our opponents (including Clemson), so I would not say that finishing 10-2 is impossible. In particular, we will have the best QB in every game, so that means we should have a shot at winning every remaining game. This in no way should indicate that we should keep Golden.
If we finish 10-2 Golden leaves for another job and if we finish 6-6 or worse Golden gets fired. Anything in between is bad.
