path to acc ship

It becomes a little more clear after tomorrow’s Duke v GT game, and SMU v Clemson will be pretty pivotal too.

Too much going on before that to be honest, but will check back in tomorrow. I believe we are rooting for Duke to beat GT since UVA plays Duke but not GT.

Doesn’t help that UVA currently has the tiebreaker over us (if they were to drop a game) with Louisville as a common opponent.

What I do have some faith in is that the ACC usually tends to cannibalize itself, and your GT’s/Duke’s/UVA’s are not good enough to run through all of these games with ease. GT almost f’d around and found out against lowly Wake the other week.

so we win out and were looking at VA best case scenario ? or easiest path to get to the acc ship ?

Don’t do this to yourself.
Oh we’re doing it

I’m not so sure we wouldn’t be better off now NOT making the ACC title game, going 11-1 and making the playoff as an at-large. Let’s say hypothetically we make the ACC Championship and lose. At that point it’s very likely we’d miss the playoff entirely. Granted, we would have been better off going undefeated and getting a first round bye, but now with us having a loss already I’m not sure what’s the better option anymore.

As crazy as it sounds, even if we win out and miss the acccg we are getting left out as a 11-1, possibly top 10-12 team. Youll see the ****ery that is going to happen with the polls in the coming weeks to justify it. The acccg winner will be the only ACC invite. Apparently you’ve missed the last 8 months of very real talk that the SEC and Big deserve 4-5 bids each.

If an 11-1 Miami team get left out for dropping a game to a ranked UL team that lost to a ranked UVA team in OT…**** the CFP, the ACC, and college football.

can somebody break this down?

no need to comment on this post if you are going to act immature and say we wont make it or we wont win out, just somebody break down what we need to happen
- Miami wins outs
- (2) Virginia ACC losses (unlikely)
- (1) more Louie ACC loss (possible, but unlikely)
- Way more permutations from there....

Louisville will be ranked this week at five and one they were receiving votes last week

Way too many teams ahead of us. Duke, tech, lousiville, SMU , UVA. This no doubt ends in a 3 way tie for TEAM 2.

We want whoever plays the most of these to go undefeated.

Probably better we don’t make the game.

It doesn’t matter. UGA is gonna lose to Ole Miss who was on the ropes at home to Wash State last week. UGA will have 2 losses but will be ranked ahead of us on Sunday because “SEC gauntlet”.
