I find Pate entertaining. He’s got good on-air personality and seems to get the most out of his interviewees. That being said, he is not an expert and you shouldn’t listen to him for his insight.

The “Bussin Boys” have a combined three brain cells between them, however. Major testament to how dumb we’ve gotten as a nation that they’ve garnered a large enough fanbase.

I couldn’t agree more. I do enjoy Pate’s short videos on YouTube. I especially like how he tears apart the AP Polls and others.

Taylor Lewan is a POS and the Bussin Boys are dumb and it’s annoying that ESPN is leaning more into the Pat-frat boy content.

Gotta disagree. Klatt played and gives him a leg up for me regarding X&Os but 2-3/10 of the takes he makes in games are insightful, 7-8/10 are plot lines and 10/10 are biased. Can’t stand listening to him.

Pate has enough rapport with the corches to be around the programs consistently when the cameras are not on. So the predictions are ****; he might know more than me but not more than most and can’t break it down but isn’t nearly the shill Klatt is.

Would state that their “expertise” occupies different arenas but Klatt is insufferable both in-game and commenting during the week and he is propped up to do the latter in addition to the former.
 
I'll give Pate credit, what he does is very hard. Doing a solo show is incredibly difficult. That's why there's so few shows that's just 1 person. However, he can be bought. Just look at his predictions last year. UF and Nebraska all gave him behind the scenes **** cause their HCs were clowns, and Bama did the same thing b/c his wife used to work for Bama. And as he's grown, as he's gotten more popular, he's become a more arrogant prick. He's gone too far into the WWE heel role. But kudos to him for working his way from local radio, to YT, to 247/CBSSports, to everywhere he's at now.

The Bussin Boys are actually ******* stupid. It was one thing to be the ex-NFLerswho had a Barstool bro show. But now to be on ESPN trying to give actual takes when neither actually follows CFB is ridiculous. It's almost as bad as McAfee.

But ESPN is dog**** now. There's so many other outlets that youu can get CFB narratives/takes from that actually do their HW, love the sport, and aren't trying to be bought by a gambling company.

Miami also gave him behind the scene access as well as other schools who he didn’t pick last year, and he picked schools who he didn’t get access to…and that’s true of his predictions this year too.

Mario didn't give him the same access that UF etc did. You can hear it in the way Pate described what he got to do at all the school stops.
