Should we keep Blount as a DT or DE to replace Bain

I can see him replacing Bain. Not saying he will be Bain or Mesidor. We all know I thought he’d be better than Mesidor last year and I was wrong. But looking at his size now, I still think he’s the closest player on the roster who looks like Bain. Obviously not as strong, but I don’t see him as a DT. At his current size, I think it’s perfect for him to stay at DE or move back to DE.

Yeah he probably be a strong run stuffing DE who can slide inside on pass plays.

Both for sure. Really amped for this kid's opportunity next season, as is just as impressive off the field as he is on the field. Played ball with his pops at Northeast for a year before he went back to Dillard and he was always a good dude.

Blount looked really good this year for where he's at in his development. I think he's 18 years old so he's going to continue to change his body. A lot of his plays he made were pure hustle/motor plays, wait till his technique gets more refined. Let him play both spots, who knows what he's best at.

All.depends on how much he grows in the off-season really, most likely not done since he is only 18....

If he puts on 10-15 lbs then its obviously DT...

BOFF... but it probably really depends on how many quality inside guys we can find and sign

I think he's a tweener. DE on 1st and 2nd down and slides inside to DT on 3rd. I don't see elite bend off the edge. Lightfoot and Wilson should be coming off the edge on clear passing downs.

He’s a dt and it’s not a question. He’ll add more weight naturally this offseason.
