Parrish Injury?

We should have seen this coming.

At Oregon, dudes went down like flies, too. I don’t know how Feld is training his players, but there’s a high rate of injuries and attrition. It’s happening here now. It can’t be a coincidence.
Not calling anyone out or trying to dig up receipts, but I feel like we’ve been saying the same thing about every strength coach/staff for yeaaaars.

Now is Thad’s chance. If he proves he can do what he did in high school (get better the more carries he gets) he can solidify a permanent role.

This clearly means we’re gonna completely abandon the run game (when UNC can’t stop anybody) and throw it 60 times.

Final stat lines

15 carries for 185 yards
23-60 passing for 197 yards
24 points

Might bet my beer stash and golf clubs on UNC
Fun day at the course shooting the **** with a few buddies and a few beers then finally being able to watch the game fast-forwarding through commercials?

Or

Watch live as the fighting Mack Brown's QB throws for 700 yards with 10 TDs while our offense puts up 12 points?

I know which one I prefer.

Pretty amazing our best player is a castaway from Ole Miss who wasn’t even the starter there. Shows you what Manny left us.
THIS RIGHT HERE

But most of the Porsters expect Mario to work miracles. Yes you can get lemonade out of lemons, but you need an awful lot of lemons to get a glass.

Perhaps, but I’ve never seen so many running backs throw up on a field over and over.

They are getting pounded into the ground because there is no balance. They are either going out on flat patterns or rushing the ball. We’ve run like 90 plays per game.
That’s not even close to true.

For one, Chaney and Citizen were injured in Fall camp. And Knighton was dinged up. Two, Parrish has 51 carries, 6 receptions. Knighton 22 carries, 2 receptions. Thad 36/3. Hardly workhorse numbers in 4 games. The NCAA rushing leaders have 25-40 more carries.

Unlucky injuries. Parrish just landed odd on his head.

I've posted on the topic before...but just a quick summary...

After aTm lost to App State, they beat us and WooPig in clunkers...they won. The line came down to -1.5 aTm at home v. 10 ranked Arkansas, too, and they covered. They covered the Miami game, too (line closed around -6.5).

Notre Dame lost to Marshall, they beat Cal in a clunker (they did not cover) and then beat UNC (Notre Dame covered).

I'd be hesitant to bet on a Miami game right now...its your money, do you, but its certainly not free money. UNC's defense might be what Miami's offense needs. Its a real slump buster defense (Notre Dame scored 45 on'em with their backup QB...they scored 53 total points in their first three games).

aTm won their games with a backup QB. Notre Dame won both with a backup QB.

I'm just saying.

I think the plan for that day is golf early am have a few beers on the course, then my girl's nieces birthday party after golf and then possibly watch the recording of Miami Unc at night if I really want to lol.

That's what is holding me back. I haven't watch UNC d this year but they are dog**** from the stat lines I'm seeing. But Miami's offense is just a ****show times 100.

Almost any team would be screwed if they lost RBs 1-4. In our case, Chaney, Citizen, Knighton, and Parrish…
Not just running back, we knew injuries at wr or cb could put us in a bad spot: no excusing the effort Saturday or loving forward, young guys need to take the reps and not turn back.

It’ll be longer than most thought with Don. 6-8 weeks was the original timeline but it’s going to be later in the year, if at all.
So, November eta ? That month we have fsu, clemson, and pitt so if he's truly healthy getting him then might be a major boost.

Apologies if it has already been reported but is Citizen confirmed out for the entire year?
