THE LB im most excited about.

This kid is a big JUMBO athlete...Kid looks dare i say like Ray Ray Armstrong..but more sudden...and actually will be an LB. Ray Ray size wise everything screamed LB..but he didnt imo have the suddenness or strength at that spot...This kid seems READY to break out as a WILL BACKER. He covers alot of ground and strikes....in covg dude is sort of textbook...he and Grace seems to be beast in the making in covg.

those are some terrible t-shirts

6'4 222?

That's a big kid.

Like he said him playing saftey in previous years only helps. Pete where did Ogletree play LB? or was he almost like a rover for UGA?

2/3 years from now, nickel set with a DL of AQM/Valentine/Thomas/McCord, Grace/Owens at LB, Tracy/Crawford/Bush/Jenkins/Burns at DB. :newman:

I love is ability to breakdown and make solid open field tackles. Kid has great instincts. I really excited about him as well. Thanks Thread for the Spring game heads up!

Not Pete but Ogletree was a jumbo safety out of highschool and ended playing inside in UGA's 3-4.

From watching his highlights the first player that came to my mind was a bigger, stronger Ramon Buchanon from high school. He also seems like he covers way better. Just how well he moves and his aggressiveness reminded me of his highlights. I'm probably pretty far off (especially b/c Owens is much bigger, which makes it crazier that he is ranked significantly lower than Buchanon was), but I remember how excited I was when we got R Buch in 08. I feel like he just couldn't put it all together in his time here, whether it was injuries or lack of instincts...but he was a beast in high school.

Buchanon was rated as one of the top LBs coming out of high school then. This kid is bigger (6'4 220 wow), stronger, hits harder, appears to diagnose plays better, more fluid in coverage, and looks just as fast...yet he is ranked so low by the recruiting "experts". Head scratcher.

Great Comparison. I was trying to see who I could compare a 6'4 220 LB too. I was thinking Navarro Bowman. But Bowman is a mini-freak. This kid might be our second shot at getting the real Ramon Buchanon. And I think he will stick because his brother is down here. Although there will be a full court press during the season on this guy from UGA and others..
