Overdosing on Oxy: AKA a UT Board talking 'Canes

This is why I can’t stand these homer, emotional dumbass fans. Respect us ************. Irrelevant for a decade? The program was sanctioned to **** and put on probation. Better talent? This is South Florida **** face. You’re talking from TENNESSEE?

SoFla is legendary for recruiting 5 stars. Every last coach in the FBS worth a **** has tapped the lines down here trying to poach guys that are right in our backyard. Get. The. ****. Outta. Here.

UT.. The school.that one summer in the early 2000,,s created a special class for summer school called (Walking) to help some players get eligible for the fall..Amazingly they all made a 4.0 in the class. Only time the class was ever offered.

If they had more talent they wouldn't go 4-8 in a down year. In our worst years, and when our HC was fired we were 6-7 in our worst and 8-5 when our coach was fired. They have produced very few relevant NFL players in recent memory. Miami churns them out year in and year out regardless.

Also, a more passionate fan base does not have anything to do with your team winning quickly. UT is the last fan base you can tell that to.

There's a post on that thread where someone talks about how much we've improved, but their conclusion is that Miami is still a "dump."

I live in Nashville. I am unfortunate enough to have to spend some time in Knoxville every once in a while. Anyone who can call Miami a dump hasn't been to the city of Knoxville or compared their stupid *** public school campus with ours. **** like that is so delusional.

You wanna talk about first hand witnessing of how insanely delusional the SEC fan bases are, hit me up. I get to witness it on a daily basis. Living in Tennessee has almost made me hate UT more than FSU and Florida...

I also live in TN and feel your pain

Been to Knoxville many times. It’s a cute town, doesn’t come close to the City of Miami as a place to live and visit.

Live an hour from Knoxville... no one would actually say that if it wasn't on a message board. They don't mean it. Trying to make themselves feel better about their dump. They've never been here to know what it's like. Just your typical Tennessee fans

If you need any proof they're delusional, the OP on that thread has a "Welcome Jon Gruden" avatar.

The "better facilities" **** is so tired and so false.

The only thing you can get on Miami is the stadium is off campus, it's also hosting a Super Bowl and a National Championship game in the next 4 years.

Those mfers were in the same boat as us. Some may even say worst, considering how many 5 win seasons they had. With the resources and money that program has they have totally failed. They will end up with some up and coming coach and remain in the depths of the SEC where they belong.

Very true. We know why we were irrelevant since 2003. The school didn't put in as much money into the program, particularly the coaching staffs. From then on, the administration thought they could put any coach there and South Florida recruiting would take care of itself and carry the program like year's past. We learned our lesson and paid Richt. And here we are.

I don't know how you do it. I live in Dallas, so it's mainly Oklahoma fans out here. They're okay.

I lived in Seattle previously (just moved to Texas in June) for a year and a half prior. Husky fans out there would cool as ish. They were gleaming about the Richt hire because they knew he was a guy that could wake Miami up.

lol @ the old tired "better facilities and better fanbase" argument

if that were the case, Oregon and UT should have their trophy cases filled with championship hardware but they're seemingly empty....

Better talent ? Maybe he ignored the fact Dade has more kids in the nfl than in other place .

5-7 3 years in a row? That takes real dedication.

Nashville is tolerable. It's not that bad of a place to live day to day. The weather here consistently blows, but for a "southern" city, there's pretty great food, lots to do, good culture, etc. But Nashville is definitely a bit of an oasis compared to the rest of the state. I was being nice earlier...but Knoxville and UT are ******* dumps. People that rag on Miami have simply never been there or live in heaps of denial.

Funny you should say that about OU fans. There are a lot here and they're super cool for the most part. The SEC hatred is shared so that is probably why we all get along so well. PAC12 fans are generally alright too.

But yeah...the SEC is kool-aid drinking delusion and bull**** rhetoric and propaganda of the lowest order. We have just as many Bama fans here as UT fans. It's difficult to deal with. Their favorite line is, "Well, if (insert non-SEC team here) had to play against them SEC defenses every week, they sure as **** wouldn't be winnin all them games!" Sit and spin, please.

I live in Nashville area too and wouldn’t trade this place for anything. The rest of the state?... nah
