Over/under

I don't think it's crazy to say we will have three first-rounders even with the same record as last year. If the draft was tomorrow, I'd be shocked if Bain, Beck, and Maugioa weren't all first-rounders. 10-2 could still get us into the ACC Championship and playoffs anyways
Can’t argue with that, agree, it’s all fluid.

1st round QB picks in recent memory;
Daniel Jones
Anthony Richardson
Mitch Trubisky
Will Levis

One unproductive bum in college after another

And yet people think Beck isn’t a strong candidate to be a 1st round pick? Come on.
I've always said that if Beck had never gotten hurt last year, he likely wouldn't be our QB today. I think he would have gone pro. The perception the media has of Beck is a lot different than NFL Scouts. Top to bottom, last year's QB class was a little weak, so I definitely could have seen him going in the late first/early second. Heck, didn't Milroe and Shough both go in the second? Shough's performance in the combine and at Saints camp is one of the saddest things I've seen. He's awful lol

Regardless, If Beck continues to put up numbers, I just don't see a world where he isn't a first-rounder

Enough to prepare him for an outside rush? Are we serious right now?
The "smoking gun" you brought up happened 10 games ago. In his 3rd start against an FBS team. The player who beat him was talented enough to get drafted and make it to final cuts with the Eagles.

Bell has clearly improved against the speed rush since then. If he's going to get drafted high next year he will have to continue to improve in other areas. I think he will continue to improve as the season goes on.

Show it, because I haven't seen a lick of it.
The example you think proves he sucks at stopping the speed rush happened 10 games ago.

But ok. The ND game. He didn't get beat outside. Their edges don't suck. Ergo, he has improved in that respect.

Long way to go this season but I honestly expected more of a jump week 1 out of him. That’s probably unfair but felt like all the talk on him this offseason was super positive.

Has all the tools in the world but still needs work. Wouldn’t be shocked (and would be ecstatic) to see him back next year.
Totally agree… but no matter how you slice it, ND registered 4 total pressures in 32 drop backs. As a whole our OL looks as advertised by insiders, it’s just that some in camp were saying it’s possible he could be better than Francis, I never saw it. I’ll continue to watch him grow, it’s gonna be fun.

Think Beck has a stigma on and off the field plus coming off the injury. The stigma is largely unwarranted in both fwiw

I would say he's the 3rd and he's definitely not far off. I'd say 2nd round now and clear path to play into the 1st.

If Todd Monken gets an NFL HC job after this season as expected that could be a situation made for him. Possibly the Colts?

Show me who performed an actual speed rush and not a rip move.

Under...not sure Bain goes rd 1

A 270lb who is a strong as he is and move like he does is a lock to be 1st rounder.

Edge rushers are such a premium position guys who are his size that didn’t have the impact he has were drafted in the first round. In the last couple of years alone guys Chop Robinson and Felix Uzomah

Chop ran a sub 4.5 40, and Uzomah barely squeaked into the first round.

I think Bain is a first round talent but lock is a stretch.

I will take the over, simply because if a QB has talent and a pulse he is likely to go first round. Bain and Cici should be stone cold locks after week 1.

Bell aint going R1, lol. Some team will definitely be enamored with his size though and that could elevate him a bit but no shot R1, at least not after this season.

As for Bain, some of you are 1000% correct about several teams falling in love with ht/wt/speed only and decreasing certain kids value based off of that, but at the same token you still have plenty old school execs who value tape over all of that too. If Bain continues to put up tape like he did on Sunday, I’m confident he will be a top 32 pick. Pass rushers are too valuable and his strength will translate. As long as he doesn’t measure something like under 6’1 in Indianapolis, he’ll be fine.

Mauigoa is a OG all day on the next level, and will be a good one. I expect him to test well, and someone will fall in love. He moves furniture and can move. He can play in any run scheme and has a ton of experience. He’ll go high.
