Over hyped talent

Not to mention a lot of these guys you said wouldn't be able to play at Georgia will play in the NFL.

Yeah, as if UGA football is some type of gold standard for UM football...sounds like the last bunch tryin' to turn us into crappy valley.

The gold standard for UM Football is UM Football, ***** lookin' somewhere else.

That's 2 of 28 players on our offense that were not a part of the 2016 class that were offered by Georgia. Now obviously there are players like Coley who were good enough to be offered by Georgia, but just simply weren't recruited because there are so many recruits. We all know that we don't have the overall mass of talent that we need, but this shows that we don't necessarily have what Richt would want for his team either.

Coley > Richards....hmm, I don't know about that.

Coley has more TD's, but that's the only spot he trumps Richards. Richards has 80 plus yards on 9 less receptions.

You were asking about overhyped talent and if that's the case, fans overyhyping players. The vast majority of this board has no idea what talent looks like. Just a few weeks ago, they were all on the BK is a 1st rounder, but now he's dog****. There's countless other examples, but yes....people here overhype players. One, because they're fans and the other because they don't know what they're looking at.

Im not reading that wall of text but this is a frequent talking point for CIS dorks. They did it in 2013 and now the entire starting lineup from that squad minus like two guys is in the NFL.

Funny how this **** has repeated itself almost verbatim every 4 years or so for the last 14 years or so.

there is no dorset, duke or even allen hurns caliber players on offense right now except maybe coley. ar is too young.

Richards will be a stud but on some our more talented teams he would've redshirted. We won't be back until we can start shirting guys like him. The talent on the o line is severely overrated. We won't be able to compete for the coastal until we get some maulers on there.

You mean like on the 2001 team where we had Andre Johnson and virtually no one else at WR? Richards would have **** all over the other WRs on that team.

Issue isn't talent it's depth. We have 4 WRs. Coley is good but goes out of the game every other catch. Richards is a true freshman. Gonna be a good one. Berrios and Dayall are average possession guys. They don't scare anyone. People talk about Bama only using one guy but they have better depth than we have at the position and its not close

The thing about it is outside of aj green who have they produced at receiver? Miamis receiver core is good our route running tree is all types of fvcked up right now period.

Fred Gibson
Terrence Edwards
Reggie Brown
Mohammed Massaquoi
Tavarres King
Kris Durham
Malcolm Mitchell
Chris Conley
Michael Bennett

They all played or play in the NFL right now. That's more than a lot of our WRs over the past 10-12 years can say.

I'm a believer that a good amount (maybe 4) of our current o line will get NFL pay checks. That said, people can't just point to 2013 to say our current is better than its performing. Just because it was the case in the past, does not mean it's the case now.

This again. Board is becoming a cesspool..

Actually got guys here who think we'd be 4-3 with Saban.

All good points.

One thing about Richt is he always had atleast one stud RB. We need him to pluck one and suddenly he will look like a good OC again.

Why don't you dorks venture over to the UGA boards and see what they think of their talent right now (Richts talent assembly). They're saying the same stuff you dip****s are.

"Just wait till Kirby gets his guys in here". lol

Lets be real about it too. Arizona, Arizona st, usc, ucla, cal, etc non of them were fighting hard to keep Kaaya on the west coast. the best performance by a UM QB last year was Rosier against Duke. he is solid but he is not ken dorsey and he is far from an All American at this point.

could be true, but I don't think so

like one poster pointed out, richt recruited all 2 guys on the team we have. One of them is a gamebreaker with an o line that can get him to that next level

for other guy that said 4 of the olinemen are gonna play on sunday.. based on what film?

There is no doubt the talent and depth on the roster is well below where it needs to be to compete nationally, let alone for the ACC in reality, i.e. we aren't ready to get passed Clemson, Louisville and FSU with any consistency/regularity.

I am not surprised we've lost some games, I thought we'd be an 8-4/9-3 team.

What I am surprised and disappointed by is that we've lost 3 in a row, and how we've lost them.

I expect an offense that includes Kaaya, Walton, Yearby, Njoku, Herndon, Coley and Richards to produce a heckuva lot better results than they have, even with an OL that is suspect.

If you had showed me the defensive statistics through 7 games, particularly the points allowed and said, "guess the record" I would tell you that this team is probably 6-1 and surprising to the upside. I am shocked that we are 4-3 and how we manages to underachieve along the way to getting here.

There just isn't any excuse for our lack of production on offense, even considering the OL, we have to manage more than 13 points against UNC!

Agreed - our list is better, but not by a lot. They have AJ Green, we have Andre Johnson.

Miami WR's drafted in the last 12 years:

Andre Johnson
Roscoe Parrish
Sinorice Moss
Leonard Hankerson
Tommy Streeter
Travis Benjamin
Phillip Dorsett
Allen Hurns (undrafted)
